Hawghunter

Fished Weds from 730am until about 130 pm. Caught 3 short smb(I do mean short like 7 in ) and some panfish. Tried redfin early without any takers and then used eakins jig and later shakey head. Caught all the fish on the shakey head worm. Also fished Monday with about the same results. Fished up the Indians and near the dam both days. I just cannot figure this lake out. I just got comfortable with the jerk bait bite and then the rain came and now I'm lost. I have talked to the fish and told them I will not eat them but they still won't bite. I just cannot get a good handle on the patterns now. Oh well.

Denjac , Thats a Hawg. Coyote , I feel your pain. I went out from 7AM to 1Pm and caught one 17in smallie and 2 short Ky's and that was it. I fished from the dam to down in Long creek but could not get it going. I also fought the wind which was a chore trying to work the bait and handle the trolling motor. This stick bite always seems to happen on the time I'm not on the water or I need more practice with the bait. I guess we need to practice it more by fishing daily.
