  1. My wife and I might be interested in a long-hair chocolate. We currently have a short-hair red female (12 yrs.) and a long-hair black & tan male (1 year). Need a playmate for the young one so he'll quit bugging the old girl! Where are you located?
  2. Tim, Is the Muncy bridge the low-water bridge by the cemetary off of F Hwy.? If not, do you know the name of this bridge. I fish from there upstream quite a bit (my in-laws live in Shell Knob). Used to be a hole maybe a 1/4 mile or less upstream that produced nicely but a few years ago somebody lined rocks across the river and it silted in. If you've been by there I was wondering how it looked as I'll be down Thanksgiving. Thanks!
  3. Sorry Tim... or anyone else. I'll re-post on Tim's thread.
  4. Tim, Is the Muncy bridge the low water bridge by the cemetary off of F Hwy? If not, do you know the name of that bridge? There was a nice hole I guess a quarter mile (if that) above this bridge but somebody lined rocks across the river a few years ago and it silted in. If you were by there how does it look now? My in-laws live in Shell Knob and I'll be back down Thanksgiving. Any info will be appreciated... Thanks

How about the buffalo knowing it's statue of limitations?
  6. Chief, I was just surfing about Spring River info and found some stuff from a stream team concerning e.coli levels on the Spring. If you're interested I'll e-mail you the story. I have it bookmarked. KCRR
  7. Hello Chief, Enjoyed your pics! My wife and I cross the Spring when we head down U.S. 71 to the in-laws in Shell Knob. My neck's a craning when we cross the bridge over that and Center Creek. Have you fished Center Cr.? How about Shoal Cr.? If you've got any info on those two I'd appreciate it. I've floated Flat Creek between Jenkins and Shell Knob and it's an excellent smallie stream not far from you. Here's a pic of a decent largemouth caught in a N.W. Mo. farm pond near Albany - hope you enjoy, caught a bigger one but too many MB's to download it. This one was 5lb's 10oz's. Good fishing to ya and even better catching. I love STREAMS!
  8. Even though I live in K.C. I make it to the Jacks Fork 3 to 5 times a year. It's my favorite river but really they're all special...
  9. Nice Pics Saluki, I've been going down there since I was 17 and saw them for the first time 3 years ago, but these pics from this summer are the best. By the way I'm 49 now!
  10. Hello Everyone! I cheated I guess... I posted earlier on the "General Discussion". Anyway, my love is the rivers of the Ozarks! Scenery first... Fishing second. Fished quite a few rivers down there and the Jacks Fork is my favorite. Glad to find this site... there's a lot of knowledge floating around here. Hope to find some friends for the future as I've been reading all the posts for quite a few months now. Posted these pics of the Jacks Fork on "General Discussion" but thought I'd put them here too. 11. Sorry guys & gals... for those who care - I meant "BALANCE" on the last thread. I suspect most of you don't... What I've seen on this forum it's the conversation and the message that counts!
  12. Thanks for replying, I'm not going to get into the feral argument. I'm up here in K.C. I've just read what's been published by Eminence publications, and from this experience I'll take feral horses over feral hogs. I've got other pics avaliable that were taken up close that makes me wonder how wild they are. After talking to locals, they told me they (for lack of a better word) cull the herd to make sure the balence is sustained. Anita down at "Two Rivers Canoe Rental" I've gotten to know and she's glad to have the pics for her new website! I realize we're not in Wyoming or anywhere else out west, but these herds go back a long way (with some tragedy involved). I'll take the horses over the hogs anytime...
  13. Hey Everyone! Wanna share a few pics of an early August Jacks Fork trip I took. Had the river virtually to ourselves mid-week. The smallie was 17 1/2". Caught below Shawnee Creek.
  14. Hey Guys, There's also a Bear Creek just west of Stockton Lake. Flows into the Sac River. Map of it in the old "Ozark Paddler" book written by Oz Hawksley.
