  1. Thanks for the report, as for the Gasconade all I have done is by Vienna. A few of us are planning on doin the upper stretches by where you were. Sounds like some real nice Goggle Eye.
  2. I have had great luck on anything that resembles a crawdad (small soft craws and even a 2.75 inch YUM Craw Papi for the bigger ones - you might pull in a Smallie too). As their name implies, Goggle eye (Rock Bass) love boulders etc... fish for em along rock ledges, eddies off large rocks, and out of the direct sunlight. Good Luck
  3. Nice Trout. I'm stuck here in Kirkwood now lookin at these pictures just waiting to get out this weekend.
  4. That's sad. Glad people like you are doing what you are doing. I have been fishing at the Springs about 5 times this year and the floaters are in prime season. A few weeks back on the gravel bar on the right bank where the spring comes in a ton of wasted floaters were hanging out. I have no problems with that, because I used to be one myself. What I did have a problem with was some a-hole hittin water snakes with his paddle thinking he was some sort of tough guy. It was not poisonous, and it was out in the channel and he ran out to hit it.
  5. Hey fellas, just joined and live in Kirkwood Missouri. I grew up cabin fishin off the Gasconade River. I don't have the cabin anymore but still love to fish the Goggle eye, Trout, Pannies, and of course the Bass - both sorts. I mostly yak fish on the rivers or do the canoe when the ole lady and the dogs want to come along. Since moving to the city, solo camping and fishing has become the way to go for me just to get away from the job and the rest of the BS that goes on here. Hope to give some input and learn alot too. Thanks
