  1. Looking to try some catfishing on sunday evening and was going to put in at hawker point. anyone had any luck in this area?
  2. what is a slow death rig?
  3. yea i put in at hawker about 7:30 pm and made to the first point we going to fish and it was awesome, caught 9 bass in like 10 minutes, then here it came. wow bairly made it back to the ramp and let me tell ya it was hard to load my boat. oh and the water was crashing over the dock at hawker point. needless to say i got soaked. i had never seen the waves crash over the dock like that it was a trip.
  4. ive also had trouble cathing walleye the last few years i think it was a mistake to lower the length limit to 15" before they did that i used to catch lots of walleye 15 to 23" some people say they still catch them but not me every once in a while ill catch a 10" or so. so i mainly just bass fish anymore.
  5. i would say shallower also. oh and carp e diem your avatar is hilarius made my morning lol
  6. bob how do you get and keep a 1/8oz jig to the bottom? especially in the wind. i have trouble with a 1/4 oz. thanks
  7. great thanks for the info. this is what im talkin about this site being awesome, guys dont mind to share info with you. thats really cool.
  8. hey guys i know you get asked this all the time, but ill ask anyway im going to start fishing the rock (i usually fish stockton, but the rock is closer and i hear better) so my question is where should i start? this lake is huge, i hear the dop shot is good and carolina rigs, im lookin to take my dad and hopefully catch some fish. i also heard to fish deep and not beat the banks. do i look for points close to deep water or brush piles? just tring to get a starting point thanks a lot everyone for all the info p.s this website is awesome.
  9. cajunangler sorry by not making myself clear but i was being sarcastic about letting it go back to the bank;) not only would that ruin my credit but they would also sell it cheap and stick me with the rest. anyway it is getting looked at as we speak. just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the replys. hopefully i can be back on the water soon
  10. hey thanks for all the replys, i took it down to bill vance this morning, the motor is now making a whistleing whining sound, i think it is the compressor. only had the boat out once, now i owe 28000 dollars for a broke dowm merc, loveley lol. i guess i should have learned my lesson from the other garbage mercs ive had. so after i let the boat go back to the bank ill be looking for a older bass boat with a yamaha, or evenrude for cash lol. oh and stay away from pros choice marine in warsaw. they either didnt check the motor out or just unloaded it on me.

  14. ah come on guys, you got to know marty hes was trying to be funny, he wasnt trying to brag, i for one have hired marty twice and my dad and i both caught fish and had a great time both times. he was very nice and knew what he was talking about, oh and by the way he caught about a 6lb bass the second trip. if i had the money i would hire him again.
