Was crappie fishn early last week and we caught 23 keepers under the lights in Price branch from 9 to midnite. Standing timber next to a dropoff in 25'-30'. All the keepers were 11"-13". Caught another 35-40 fish that were 5"-6" long. Nothing inbetween! They seemed to be roaming around though. We had 4 poles out. Youd go 5-10mins without a bite then all of a sudden there would be a fish on every pole. It was one crazy nite! Only reason we quit was we ran out of minnows! (8 doz). Last thursday evening went back to bass fish. Tore them up! 8lb LM and 3 keeper wallys on football jigs. North end main lake points. Water temp was 72. Good luck!! Vic

Been looking at this forum for months now. Figured it was about time I should join. I've got alot of GOOD info from here and I hope to give some back someday! Currently live in Bolivar, MO. Been here since 2000. Married a great friend and wonderful woman a few years back. We built a new home and are just about done with it. I'm a kansas native. "Go Jayhawks". Grew up around KC. Fished local lakes for crappie and catfish and ponds for bass as a kid. Spent most vacations in the ozarks (Pomme,Stockton,Tablerock and Roaring River).Did some schooling at Pitt State (KS) and KU. Spent some time in Wichita. Didnt like it much except for the fishing. The area lakes out there have some of the best walleye and crappie fishing in the world. Caught dozen'S of walleye from 5-10lbs! Spent some years in NE Texas too before moving here. Sure do miss the fish'n in Texas! My parents and most of my aunts and uncles have retired to this area. As we all just keeep gett'n older I felt a need to be closer to them all so I packed up and moved to MO. I picked Bolivar because it was small,quiet and between 2 of my favorite lakes!
