I read in the Conservationist that we are supposed to have a big Cicada hatch this spring, so I was wondering if anyone has some good patterns to try out in the park?
I fish a TFO Lefty Kreh series 3 wt. at RR. It is the perfect rod for the park, especially on days when the wind isn't real bad. I think they come in three or four piece models, mine is a four piece. Great rod, I would absolutely recommend it for RR.
Hey guys, I was thinking about heading down tomorrow and was wondering how the fishing has been. Also, how is the water looking? Is it worth my time, basically?
I forgot to mention on the card, that if you guys don't want the legs, just cut them off. I have fished these flies both ways and there isn't much difference, but I left them on so you have the option. I know the traditional pheasant tail uses partridge for this but out of convenience I have always used PT instead.
Yeah I think I am going to do a variation on a BH Pheasant Tail, I seem to catch a lot of fish with it in the parks. I know its a pretty standard issue fly, but I am confident that I can do a descent job tying them up. Sorry to change my mind from TBD!
Ok guys it's my first post on this board all though i have been a lurker for awhile. If its ok I would like to try the swap. It might be a good way to get to know some of you as well as a way to get some good ideas for flies. I am a beginner, hopefully thats alright?
