  1. Thanks Skeeterp! I appreciate the support and thanks to those who have sent PM's and emails. I probably did get carried away with the pics and for that I apologize.
  2. At least you admitted...still BS but not really worried about it Based on Eric's report from 11-21 I would say the smallmouth are biting decent at the dam
  3. Far from thin skinned and I am as laid back as they come bro. Someone is always on fish especially when you can go 2-3 times per week and that is my problem with the assumption. It is pretty arrogant to assume just because you don't catch them someone else didn't...it is different every single day, time of day and even different on various parts of the lake. I know the Winter Series is a bunch of sticks and I have thought about it but don't really have a reliable partner. I might start fishing serious again next year but I am having fun right now getting to fish longer and spending less money.
  4. Based on these quotes I would say that is exactly what he was doing. Pretty stupid accusation considering the fish are obviously different and I have absolutely nothing to gain from it...not like I am trying to get a guide trip booked or anything. It is the reason I don't really post that much and truth be told I posted a little more lately just to ruffle their feathers. Not really that worried about it either way and I am easy to find if someone really has something to say to me.
  5. Man that is REALLY tempting to go down and fish against 10 boats... I am thinking about doing the AIA solo next year though so maybe you will get your chance then. Wind doesn't really bother me much and come to think of it I believe it was windy when I won the Heartland Pro Am at Bull Shoals back when I was all serious about this fishing stuff. I am just a poor little non-tournament fisherman now who still fishes around 70 days per year and doesn't have jack to prove to you or anyone else.
  6. I am pretty sneaky...just caught 1 brownie 3 weeks ago and kept him in the livewell taking pics in different coves all day just so I could impress the peanut gallery
  7. It must be considering the smallmouth you posted from Shell Knob also has the same little white spot as do most of the smallmouth I have caught on Table Rock As much as I enjoy message board smack accusing me of lying is BS and I don't have anything to prove to you or anyone else
  8. Well, I decided against the all dayer with the wind like it was because I don't see the need to beat the crap out of myself unless it is for money. The good thing is they REALLY bit this morning so it was pretty easy to get myself to leave around 1:30pm. Started around 7am and messed around with a wart because I wanted to see if I was missing something the other day. I caught a few shorts on it and one good keeper but I picked my blade back up around 8 and caught them for a while. I hammered them up until around 11 and then it got very tough for me. Only caught 2 fish from 11 until I left at 1:30...caught a bunch from 8 to 11 though. Main lake bays/pockets are still working for me and caught fish from point to ditch early. Took a few pics but my battery went completely dead on my phone pretty early so I didn't get a couple of my bigger ones...had a 4lb+ black and smallmouth pushing 4lbs around right before they stopped biting.
  9. Decided to head down Sunday for an all dayer...can't pass up the weather
  10. The way I throw a spinnerbait is pretty close but no I didn't...probably did 60% blade, 30% jerkbait and 10% wart. Probably should have thrown a wart more because I didn't throw it very much and caught 2 on it...just like throwing a blade.
  11. Hit the water for the first time in a while and caught them OK. Fished from 8am until around 3pm out of Indian Point. I never really could get on a group of fish or any particular pattern and just kind of caught one here or there while throwing a blade, wart and jerkbait. Probably caught around dozen or so and had 6-7 pretty good ones but nothing to write home about.
  12. Pretty tough when we first got there but there was zero wind until around 2ish...started biting after that and really bit after dark. I just love fishing when the water gets below 70 and while all my buddies are in the woods chasing turkey and bambi
  13. Well done...nothing like taking the little lady fishing. Mine doesn't like the cool weather much but I really enjoy spending time with her on the water. Good to see you guys had a good time and caught fish. I really need to get back down there and I have Thursday circled on the calendar.
  14. Cajun is making it sound like I front ended him all day Just want to make it clear I sat further off the bank than I normally do so he had plenty of room to cast plus I fished like a snail Thinking about heading down tomorrow but haven't decided yet
  15. Hit the water with fellow board member Cajunangler. Fished from 12 until 8 and had a very good trip. I would guess we caught around 40ish with 20 keepers. Caught fish on a variety of baits including spinnerbait, crankbaits, jerkbaits and jigs. Most of the fish came from the backs of pockets and very shallow as usual for me...had to convince Cajun I could catch fish shallow on Table Rock Had Cajun take this pic of a decent one and should have taken a some others because we had some good ones. Great day on the water and enjoyed the company.
  16. I have done very well with chatterbaits (I call mine Crazy Jigs) on the area lakes regardless of how clear the water is...I recommend a trailer hook though because I have a ton of fish at Table Rock just swipe at it. The bait really triggers some bites but sometimes hard to hook up...I have had some great days though as most of the fish I hook up with are good ones.
  17. Go figure...the high sky day with a north wind they are on the bank crushing stuff That one I caught was the skinniest fish I have caught this Fall...he was a 16" toothpick
  18. A few pics from today...
  19. I put the little smiley face up there for sarcasm but I guess it didn't work I was expecting it to be tough today with the sun and North wind but boy was I wrong. I had 4 keepers out of the first cove I hit and then 3 more out of the next...and they were flat crushing the blade today. Fished from 11:30 until 5:30 and had 13 keepers plus another dozen or so shorts. Almost all largemouth but I got on some good spots right before I came home. Only had 1 rod on deck and I downsized my blade today to a 1/2oz with 3/3.5 combo...in Elite Shad color with double silver blades. Caught fish VERY shallow as they were right off the bank today in wind blown pockets with mixed rock...both main lake and creek pockets. I will post some pics shortly
  20. Headed to Joe Bald area shortly 04 Triton TR 186 DC White w/black red pins...at least there is a lot of cloud cover today
  21. Like Champ said I usually throw floaters and rip them until the water gets below 50...then I switch to the suspending models. I have been catching them off and on since Sept doing that.
  22. Well, after taking a few days off from Table Rock to hit Stockton with my friends who like to eat Walleye, Whites and Crappie it was nice to be back home and strictly fishing for bass. Fished from 7am until around 2pm and caught them pretty decent...had 20 something mix bag of bass with 7-8 good ones. I mixed it up a little bit this time catching fish on Blade, Wart and Jerkbait plus fished some main lake, secondary and back ends. I had to cover a lot of water and caught keepers in all three areas. I still kept the boat in 15 feet or less but tried some other patterns...blade was still best for me and all my keepers came on it. Took some cell phone pics but again they suck...
  23. Took a break from Table Rock and hit the Mutton Creek area yesterday from 2pm until 7pm. I threw a shallow crank and jerkbait almost all day and just fished wind blown pockets...pretty much caught everything that swims in the lake including largemouth, smallmouth, spots, whites, crappie, walleye, drum and even a carp. I kept 3 good walleye, 5 whites and a crappie for my buddy who likes to eat those. Caught a ton of bass with most of them being small but I did have 3 good blacks...had the boat in 10 feet or less entire trip.
  24. Well, pretty tough short trip for me today...fished from 7am until around noon out of Indian Point again. Caught 7 with 3 good keepers and lost a couple others. Everything I caught today was on the trailer hook on my blade so that tells you how they were biting for me. The really funny thing is I caught all the keepers plus 2 shorts completely out of the wind. I fished the wind most of the morning and all I caught was 2 little guys so I moved to the other side of the lake around 10am and caught the other 5 with 2 keeper spots and 1 keeper brownie. With the full moon I really should have night fished sometime but I don't really like doing that by myself much anymore. Nice to be on the water and then come home to watch a little NFL football...good day!
  25. It seemed much tougher yesterday for some reason...I fished from 7am until 11:15am and only caught 9 with 4 keepers. I pulled into one wind blown bay around 10:30 and caught 3 good keeper brownies in 40 minutes otherwise my little short trip wouldn't have been very good at all. My plan is to fish all day tomorrow and hopefully the bass feel like playing.
