Actually, the area you have marked as "shallow" above Galena Park is known to the locals as Taylor Shoal. I've fished there many times, and even sunk a Chevy Blazer on 36" tires down to the frame on this gravel bar.
Also the area marked as Galena Park, is known locally as "Rolley's", as the name of the man who owned this area many years ago was Rolley Blunk. GOOD white bass fishing here, although better in a boat than from the bank in most cases. With the low water this year it looks like most of it will be wadeable. I haven't made it down there yet, but you can be sure it's in the plans!
