  1. The Jedi and yours truly put in at Kelly to cold temp's. Weather affected the bite, at one point the guides were freezing up and it was spitting rain. Water was up and off color, a little tough to fish by canoe, pull out, fish, repeat. Still had a decent day with several small to mid-size 'bows landed, no browns. Saw a couple of eagles and a mink. Lost two nice 'bows of course, right at island above Sunburst. Flies of the day: BH RL stone, Psycho Prince for me, bigger midges for the Jedi. Pretty good day considering the cold and having fairly poor luck on this river in the past.
  2. Swung in twice to buy materials. Jim and Rodney are a hoot. I'm in town so I'll probably bring my stuff in some time to spin up some patterns.
  3. 293 cfs latest reading at Montauk.
  4. 21" brown works for me. It would be good to swing big dark streamers, maybe tomorrow, kinda cold today...
  5. It really needs it, trickling along at 65cfs for the longest time. We need regular rain intervals this Spring.
  6. Wonder where she will stabilize? 200 or so?
  7. Just watched it Chance, nice stuff... Just got back from Plateau Fly Shop here in SGF. Had a good visit w. Jim and Rodney. You boys should stop by next time you're heading thru.
  8. Gotta get those helmets going at the vice...
  9. Hopefully this Spring will bring up levels and keep them sustained. Lots of pressure, poaching, drought...all those things. Plus, the browns get very wily...last time I was downstream from Baptist, caught just a glimpse of a big boys edging away to hide...gotta do the Crane Creek crawl I guess, which hurts...
  10. Hmmm, cannot decide which one of the 'anglers' I like the best...
  11. Nice report on the blog!
  12. Welcome to MO. We moved here from WA in 2006. Used to fish mostly lakes and some streams on the Yakama Reservation. Great trout fishing here if you do your 'homework'.
  13. Wow! Top water action on the 11 Pt. What next? Hmmm...
  14. Nice flies! I plan on using these also. Gotta go small in the Winter.
  15. Good stuff as always. It helps to have the life partner in it also, just sayin'....
  16. Nice, especially like those eyes....
  17. Wow! Great report, gotta get back to the 11 Pt.
  18. Now I'm thinking CT, not PA.
  19. He says it's on 'local water' for him. Comments section are talking to him. He's in PA? I think. Great tier, and innovator.
  20. Makes sense, please rain and bring up the stream for this Spring.
  21. http://www.catching-shadows.com/catching-shadows/Home.html Scroll down to his Dec. 4 birthday fishing trip, 4 browns over 23"...
  22. Always like your posts, good stuff.
  23. Great stuff! Wishing for rain, again...
  24. One of Kyle K.'s videos on his site has them fishing in the snow, Dec., and his client lands a big brown with a black articulated streamer. Not sure for the winter months. Yellow, olive and white seem to work in the spring. Brian and Justin would be of help on this one.
