  1. Caught a few(about 10) really nice male crappie up in Swan on Sat. Water temp was around 65 the bite was slow until about 3-4ish then fairly hot for about an hour and then nothing again. Caught one nice female white and some monster bluegill, but all in all a pretty slow day. Also tried fishing up in "Silver Creek" I believe, not much, caught a couple walleye one was about 4 inces and the other about 5 LOL, never seen any that small before!! tons of small bass throughout the day, almost becoming a bit of an annoyance but can't ever complain about catching fish! Good Luck All
  2. Well, that would explain this strange illness LOL!!
  3. It seems like on this forum everyone is pretty tight lipped about crappie for the most part, which I "guess" is understandable, apparently NO-ONE ever crappie fishes in Bull Shoals... wierd LOL!! OH WELL,I guess so this may be considered a little Sac-religious I guess, but I'm just a Kansas boy who doesn't know any better, so who cares! My father and I ventured up into Swan creek on Sat in all the rain and nasty weather and caught what I would consider to be a substantial amount of crappie around the bridges, along the bluff and up in the creek around where those bush tops are sticking out and the water transitions deeper! We were using a combination of swimming minnows until they would slow down and then switch rods with a white 1/8th oz jig and back and forth! All in all left with a limit and the smallest one was 14 inches all in about 2 hours. We also snagged a few very small whites, but not as many as expected. I would think that this was just a case of blind squirrels and acorns, but the Sat before we had done th same thing fishing in that cove just beside K Dock(not sure what its called), simply fishing into the bank where the water has a nice ledge. Now with this being the first 2 times we have ever fished these waters I know that there have to be some crappie expert out there who know a hell of a lot more than I do and if you choose not to divulge your hard earned information that is your perogative, but I am just throwing my 2 cents in here for what its worth, this seems to be a great crappie fishery! If I have given away anyones spots I truely am sorry, maybe, good luck out there and be safe!
  4. I just found out here in Kansas that the dock at River Point sustained heavy damage and all the boats, including ours were submerged in water. I was wondering if anyone had any actual visual knowledge of how bad it is! going to try and get down there tonight and see what I'm uop against! I stopped in the shop at Lilley's on Saturday and bought that TFO rod and found out where we were suposed to meet and all the details, but it looks like I will be making a reservation for one of your boats now Phil, so me and my dad can fish participate that tourney! H ave a good one all!!
  5. Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone is aware of any heated docks on Table Rock, my father and I are looking for a backup place when it gets colder. I have seen uite a few on Lake of the Ozarks, but are alot closer to Table Rock, any insight would be appreciated! Thanks for your time
  6. I am new to the jig fishing aspect of trout fishing, I have fly fished for years, but for some reason have had virtually no success jig fishing in this high water, or when it is off for that matter from a boat!! Any advice from you all would be greatly appreciated, due to the fact that I know alot of you are experts in this technique! What makes this even stranger is I have used jigs to crappie fish my entire life with great success!! I normally fish the areas from Riverpoint up the dam and am just wondering on what size and color jigs to use in what water conditions, where to fish them, such as along the banks around cover or down the middle. Also, what is the best way to rig one, with a bobber or just on its own? I am at a total loss here and looking for a few helpful insights, anything would be greatly appreciated!!
  7. Hola!! I am not new to the Branson area, but I am a new 26 year old half transplant I guess you could say!! I just purchased a condo at Riverpoint in Hollister and have been an avid trout fisherman since I was small!! I try to make it down nearly every weekend from my home and JOB in Kansas!! Looking forward to some insight and both sharing and learning new tips and techniques from you experts!!! Have a Good one!!
