  1. Thank goodness everyone is safe... and the resort isn't going to get swept away. Once again.. good news even though it sounds like bad news.. its not. Brian
  2. As of 3am CST, Table Rock is 934.6 and Taneycomo is 727.3 Beaver is 1130.4 and the tailwater is 953.0 Monumental flows for both dams. This will take some time to recover from. Brian EDIT -- as of 7am - TR = 935.0, Taney 727.5 Beaver - 1130.0, 953.0
  3. I have owned about 6 different brands of boats.. and my favorite is still the JWOutfitters Renegade. Its 8'6", perfect for flattish water and will row circles around any other boat on the market to this day. Mine is yellow top/gray bottom and broken down into the 4 pieces at the moment... but I am going to put it together and fish some ponds due to this high water of the last week. What to avoid.. heavy boats with no usable features. Most your cheapies are made of steel and weigh in at 85lbs+. What to look for, aircraft grade aluminum whitewater frames, a rowing position that is set forward to maximize your exertion on strokes.. oars that are longer so you are not digging to deep to try to get ahead, and a built in drop anchor system. My Renegade is 42lbs without my 8lb mushroom anchor hanging off the back off the easy to use anchor system. I will get some pics of the boat and truck I use for it up tomorrow. Brian
  4. I would help out in any way in the name of OAF. Brian
  5. Holy good gravy!!! That is much worse than I was picturing in my mind. Wow. The stream will need some work to recover from that flood, no doubt. I still feel the fish will be OK.. and the underground spots will be recharged for many more days to come. Brian
  6. I think it will have more affect on the river than the fish. They have been in there since 1882 ya know. Sure would like to see those pics Andrew. Brian
  7. I read the same thing Wayne did.. as in Floating body found dead on the Buffalo. Thank goodness they are both alive and now safe. You just gotsta heed weather warnings anytime on these waterways.
  8. I for one have high hopes for the Cards this season... but is this the year ? Berkman if he stays healthy is a nice pickup.. Holiday is seeing the ball well at the bat and in the field.. Rasmus is playing great.. and his bat is alive.. TheRiot is playing well enough I guess but his bat needs to come around a little.. Pujols just needs to not tear anything and see the ball well.. he'll do well either way I think We do need to establish a closer if Franklin isnt it.. Sanchez for a rookie is doing very well.. surprisingly well.. Carp, Loshe, Garcia.. they should all fair pretty good.. but its Westbrook I fear.. Keep your fingers crossed guys and gals.. the NL Central is gonna be a bumpy ride! Brian
  9. I would say that just about anywhere you find water, its gonna look like chocolate milk. You could still try to fish.... but I wouldn't myself. Our little slice of heaven here is probably blown out for 2-6 weeks depending. Brian
  10. The Master at work.. you can search Lefty's videos almost anywhere.
  11. Hey Leonard - Wowsers! Great pics! Did you drive down to the boat ramp and get a shot ??? I betcha the ramp is 10 foot under by now. Craziness! Brian
  12. To put these numbers into perspective, Lake Taneycomo water level below the dam in feet above sea level : 0 units = 701.3 is the usual 4 units = 710.2 or thereabouts 4 units plus gates all 10 gates open 1 foot = 724.6 parking lot very much underwater The lowest fish holding tanks at the ShepHills Hachery would flood with 10 more feet of water. By the way, I have it on good authority that the "1000yrs flood" auxiliary spillway gates will never be opened unless Beaver were to collapse or breach in such a way that we would be facing holding that entire lake in a moments notice.
  13. What ?? The girls are using 1st quality hackle to tie it into their hair ?? That is absurd. I have a new necks left.. I am hanging onto them.
  14. Yeah.. I would love to see some pics of the park after this flood.. Tim is on a vacation, anyone else out there ?
  15. Wow. Phil, you and yours are in my prayers buddy. Brian
  16. So from what I just saw on KY3 news at noon, they are now upping the release thru the gates to 52,600cfs. So if you add that 52.6k to the 14.4k released by the generators... that's the most water I've ever heard of (67,000cfs). We are probably going to see significant changes up there when the water finally does go down.
  17. Anybody from that area have any pictures of the gates open at Beaver ? Or any of river ... are area as it copes with this flooding ? Thanks, Brian
  18. Phil, do you know if the gates are only open 6 inches or if they went to being open 1 entire foot or more ? Brian
  19. I wanna see a picture of the boats beached at your Dads place. I cannot picture it in my minds eye. Brian
  20. wow - let's hope those condo's don't go in brian
  21. sold - please delete thread thanks
  22. I have a whole bunch.. email me directly. Brian
  23. Great read Roland - the weather was on your side for sure. And a nod to your brother who caught a nice fish on the upper end. Peppy is a Taneycomo staple... I still have one in my box to this day. The last I have left. I have tried to duplicate it.. but that dubbing is getting hard to recreate. Brian
  24. Hey Grant - shoot me an email. Brian
  25. Great boats for a great price. Both of them. I've look'd them firsthand. Brian
