I do know they moved the Heartland derby from BS to the Rock for the 12/13th of April because they said BS was going to crest to high for safe tournament conditions. It will be very interesting to say the least.

I would not expect to much, water is real muddy, but warming. Not ideal, but things might change this weekend. Try the usual suspects, back of creeks, secondary points, etc. Jigs, spinnerbaits and cranks. Fish hard and move alot. Experiment with colors, blades sizes and shape. Good luck.

The "Dam" man said the "Dam" water level was at 660.66. Also mentioned was eleven flood gates open!!!!!

Our weather lady up here last night said everything basically south of the I44 corridor could get up to 5-8" of rain. That would absolutely be horrible.

There is some new deal regarding this that I thought was taken to the supreme court. Only way you cannot fish is if Corps sign prohibits fishing, unless there is a gas pump then I believe it is 50ft. Otherwise they can't do anything. I am looking for information, but yet to find it. -
PD: I would say the guides should start getting booked up and reports should be plentiful very soon! It's almost April!!! Those bushes are hard to resist! Yikes.

Champ: BFL, Carpenters, Childrens Miracle Network, Heartland Elite, and many others this weekend. So many boats I think hurts the fishing more than all of the water. Good luck.

For cheap and clean, try the golden door motel, for a place to stay not fish... Although, in the summer they may keep fish in that swimming pool?

W.S., Bluffs is one thing we did not try, but I have heard some catches coming from the bluffs. Might try the Glaize after the holiday. thanks.

Have not been able to get much going the last couple weekends. Especially the crappie. Sunday was tough for what ever reason. They do not appear to be brush related at least what I was fishing in the mid-lake area? Bass are weird right now to and seem suspended. I got a little something figured out on saturday with a spinnerbait, but it is a real slow bite. You can get bit in the morning on top, but doesn't last long. I know the whites are real catchable on mainlake points with wind, might be the best bite going on now.
