    What's Cooking?

Glad to have another bierock lover out there. Now, let’s get you into shepherd’s pie. Meat and taters and gravy. How can that not be good??

    2018 Garden Thread

Well, another week indoors and my starts are wanting to stretch their legs. We had some nice weather during the week, but I wasn’t able to get them out. Haven’t taken them out of their 1-inch cells yet and they’re not liking it. I’ll give them a little Miracle Grow and they will perk up. Low 50s today and rainy, so they’re gonna get to go outside, but not for long.
  5. Alright, mine are done. Ronnie? Have gotten out with your butterfly net to gather materials for the trashy dragon fly yet?😁

    What's Cooking?

Yeah, Revere Ware at my house too. My mom had it from the 50’s and the stuff I have dates to 1988. Tough as nails. Replaced a sauce pan a couple years ago when a handle weld failed, but the rest is good. Yeah, a good nonstick is needed and a good cast iron is too. But the day-to-day is in the Revere Ware.

    What's Cooking?

When I was in school, there was a guy whose dad was a rancher in western Kansas. He came back from a weekend home with a big jar full of testicles. They were floating in some cloudy liquid. I just couldn't make myself do it, but a few of the guys did. I did try them a couple years ago in Wyoming. Sliced, breaded and fried was a lot more appealing than the whole ones sloshing around in an unknown liquid.

    What's Cooking?

That happens to me sometimes. 😄
  9. I dunno, but the low heat really fixed it good and quick.
  10. Lotta factors, but generally the soil temp needs to be into the 50s and air temps into the 60s and up. It’s freakin 30 degrees here right now.
  11. Received fshndoug's today. Lookin' good! Thanks Guess I'd better get some tail assemblies on mine.
  12. I now feel fully sorry for you.
  13. Did the pencil poppers first and the regular right after that same bottle of Zap-a-Gap. No time for temperature or humidity change. Can’t think of any other variable that would ha e affected it but the poppers themselves. But that seems pretty unlikely too. Weird.
  14. I’m starting to feel sorry for you.
  15. That’s all I could come up with too. Something different about the chemistry. But they were both Waspi Perfect Poppers, and the pencil ones were fine. Weird.

    What's Cooking?

Well, I clearly don’t know poultry anatomy. I never saw a ball sack on a bird, so I never thought about fries. That is what we’re talking about, right? Now, let’s talk about a better name for the rest. Wobbly parts doesn’t sound too appetizing. Neither does offal. 😄
  19. Yeah, it stayed gooey for a long time. I wiggled the hook thinking it would expose it to air, when that didn’t work I did it a couple more times. Then I gave it another big up and down in the slot and let it set for a while. Nothing. I did the oven thing without researching or anyhing — I was prepared for a total loss on the little poppers at that point. They set up hard as a rock, but needed a little clean up.
  20. Thanks. Me too.
  21. Good question, ness. I hope someone knows something about this and will offer up an answer.
  22. I just did. I guessed kinda right on trench, wrong on tramp.
  23. I’m lost.
  24. Well, if you’re not gonna fish my poppers I’ll hold them back. 😄
