  1. We hunted the mississippi river near foley - we saw pretty good numbers up until three weeks ago.
  2. Thanks for the map
  3. I am wondering if anyone was drift fishing or hitting those slack water spots from a boat - and how they did the last week or so?
  4. Sounds like a pretty darn good day on the water if you ask me - thanks for the report!
  5. Thanks - that's what I thought I had read in one of your previous posts. But I have been trying to do a ton of research on trout fishing down in your neck of the woods the last month.
  6. Thom, I am going down the morning of the 16th.
  7. Thank you - I appreciate it!
  8. This will be my first trip down to Taney to try my luck on trout. I have a simple and maybe dumb question but I wanted to make sure I cover it before I head down to the lake. With the possibility of freezing temps and using a trolling motor - do you guys ever have your trolling motor shaft freeze up so you cannot steer? I have experienced this last weekend duck hunting - we use the trolling motor to move around when we are setting and retrieivng the decoys. Are there any good tips on how to fight this? I have search the forum in a couple different categories and could not find anything. Thanks for your time and help!
  9. I too am making my first trip to Taney here in the next couple weeks to try trout fishing for the first time. This topic is definitely one of the first questions I was thinking about - thanks! I have been fishing for bass, crappie and catfish for the past 20 years. I will be bringing my john boat up to fish out of. Phil - you mention using Trilene XL 4 - do you normally use that in clear or green? The group of guys that have invited me recommend I use green tint line only. Thanks.
