Slobs are fly fisherman with no class. Some might refer to them as shufflers, you know people who are uneducated so they shuffle their feet and catch fish 1 foot in front of them. Woo Hoo what a thrill. Also slobs are people who see you catching fish and then come w/i 5 feet of you and start fishing the same hole, hoping they will catch some of your luck. I don't see it very often but you will find most slobs in the outlets or rebar hole.
Welcome to the forum. Since you are an art teacher, you might have a natural gift for what is known as artistic flies. They sell for quite a bit of money. I met a guy, don't remember his name from Mountain Home, AR and all he ties is art flies and they are pretty. He sells them for around $400 a piece.
Welcome to the forum. Bass fishing is something I would love to learn. I can flyfish for trout all day but I want to learn everything about bass fishing.
I would be a little worried about them turning on the water if I was on the south side up by the cable. Do you have enough time to cross if they did, or would you just walk down to rebar and cross there?
What is the largest fish you have ever caught in Lake Taneycomo. Rainbow or Brown or even Bass Apply.
I think it would be neat with as many people on this forum how many people have caught big fish.
I have never caught a bass on Taney, knock on wood, but my biggest brown was a 9 lb caught just below outlet 1.
Let's hear about some big fish.
