  1. Maybe it was a spaceship that came and beamed up all the big fish.
  2. The best way to get rid of them is start throwing rocks in the water. Oops that may scare the fish away.
  3. Its got to be the circus peanut.
  4. Welcome to the forum. I think you will be amazed at how many fish you can catch at Taneycomo.
  5. Check out Lillies map of Taneycomo and read some of the archived reports.
  6. Slobs are fly fisherman with no class. Some might refer to them as shufflers, you know people who are uneducated so they shuffle their feet and catch fish 1 foot in front of them. Woo Hoo what a thrill. Also slobs are people who see you catching fish and then come w/i 5 feet of you and start fishing the same hole, hoping they will catch some of your luck. I don't see it very often but you will find most slobs in the outlets or rebar hole.
  7. God bless the U.S.A. and rainbow, and brown trout.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Since you are an art teacher, you might have a natural gift for what is known as artistic flies. They sell for quite a bit of money. I met a guy, don't remember his name from Mountain Home, AR and all he ties is art flies and they are pretty. He sells them for around $400 a piece.
  9. Supposed to be horrible fishing at night this weekend i'll be there with my bro's
  10. Make it $29 a night and you have a deal. Just kidding.
  11. Do they charge you to fish there if you don't keep any? Where is this located? I live in Branson.
  12. As our wonderful President has quoted so many times. 'THAT'S THE CHANGE WE NEED"
  13. Welcome to the forum. Bass fishing is something I would love to learn. I can flyfish for trout all day but I want to learn everything about bass fishing.
  14. I would be a little worried about them turning on the water if I was on the south side up by the cable. Do you have enough time to cross if they did, or would you just walk down to rebar and cross there?
  15. Congradulatios. The fish looks great.
  16. Great story. You will probably remember that story more than if you had landed the fish.
  17. I hear they are killer especially at night. I wish I could throw one on a fly rod, but I'm not that brave
  18. You're not using enough butter!! Just kidding. As many largemouth that exist in this great country, why do we need to eat smallmouth???
  19. Who came up with the idea first.... Leaonard or BackCountry Outfitters?
  20. What is the largest fish you have ever caught in Lake Taneycomo. Rainbow or Brown or even Bass Apply. I think it would be neat with as many people on this forum how many people have caught big fish. I have never caught a bass on Taney, knock on wood, but my biggest brown was a 9 lb caught just below outlet 1. Let's hear about some big fish.
  21. Brett did not go home after catching the one. It was a little slow so we went to the big hole and caught quite a few.
  22. Anyone going to Taney this weekend for some late night fishing?
  23. I think you are reading a little too much into his comment. If you knew him he is a great guy and very friendly to anyone who goes into his shop.
  24. Did they agent outfish you guys? I always wondered with their biology knowledge if they catch more fish than others?
  25. It wasn't the 2 story bathrooms was it?
