  1. I've trolled suggessfully. Usually whenever I get skunked (which is often) I will troll right down the center of the lake and have picked up some large white and black bass. I'll try to fish the rubber worm or spoon first at my favorite spots. If that don't work, of the boats starr getting crazy, it seems to be the only thing that works. There were some real "idiots" out this evening. Some came by soooo close, I could have throw my lure right over their boats. then they have the nerve to actually wave. I thing I am going to give up fishing from July 4 thru labor day. With the heat and the amount of boats flying around, fishing os getting way too nerve racking. Maybe take up golf.
  2. This is great. Thank you for sharing. I have learned so much from this Forum and this is the most exciting idea, yet it is so simple, while dealing with the strtcture challenges related to TR. I have believed for some time (and have occassionally caught some big walleye)that TR is a big secret walleye factory. This type of system is going to open up "the deep" fish of TR. Thanks again.
  3. Nice fish... whereabouts is devils backbone?
  4. you can go to the corp office down by the dam and they will zoom in on your property. The overhead photo will show the line. I've heard that it's 100' above normal pool, but I don't know that for sure. The corp gave me a very nice looking picture from overhead of my property and showed the line clearly.
  5. champ... may god bless you.
  6. guys.... now i'm thinking of selling my lakehoue and never going into the lake again. snakes alive!
  7. guys... you're beginning to scare me now...
  8. This may not qualify for this posting. But I was fishing Lake Michigan for Koho and as we were motoring out with the guide, I saw the rod bend and asked him if I should reel it in. I did and caught 2 huge koho's on the same rod within minutes of leaving port. Needless to say, the rest of the day I had to wait for my 3 other friends to catch or miss fish. Later in the day, as two of my friends were sick over board from the waves, i saw the rod bending and starting reeling, even thou it wasn't my turn. Guess what? There were 2 huge Koho's on the rod. So, on the way out to the fishing spot I caught two and about 9 hours later when it was my turn again, within minutes caught 2 again. 4 fish for the day for me, within minutes. A total of 5 fish for the day for all of us.. I was glad to see that both the guys were getting sick, otherwise i would have had to wait all night. The funny thing was, that both the guys getting sick were both in the navy for 20 years.
  9. I think Bill answered his own question.. The wind has more to do with fishing than, I believe any other factor. Plus March was a cold month. So alittle wind and some more warm days and be ready!!!!
  10. No one said, "all the people with nice boats" Just the ones that were rude, happened to have extra expensive nice boats. Don't take offense, I have a nice boat too.
  11. I was fishing with a friend last week Saturday, on the Kings river. I told him at least a dozen times... "ever notice the bigger the jerk, the nicer the boat"? I said this to him every time someone came too close and too fast. Plus, ever notice how the nicer the boat, the less likely to wave? javelin boat owners are the worse offenders.
  12. When do you think the white bass will be running? Looks like some weather this week finally above 70. Appreciate any attempts at guesses, as I am planning to be there definetly the 16th and hopefully sooner if the bass are running.. thanks
  13. i had the same type of problem and it was a poor connection.. Battery had some corrosion on it wasn't making a full contact. check the ground too..
  14. I vote for flags, something in a pirate theme..
  15. has not set their status

  16. I only get a chance to get down to the lake about once a month during the spring and summer. So, all the information shared by the members of this forum is great to give me idea of where and what to look for. Even after reading all that information last year, I still only had marginal success. One of these days, I'll actually start to catch some quantities of fish and will be able to share. Until then, I do appreciate all the shared knowledge, sharing colors, fishing methods and depths. When does one stop being a lurker?
  17. Is there a limit of white bass?
  18. Thanks, so if I understand correctly, the spawn begins about 58 degrees, so the white bass run up the river when the temps get into the 50's? Appreciate everyone's help..thanks again.
  19. appreciate everyone's advise...
  20. When will the whites start to run up the Kings or Roaring River? When they do run, will they be "boiling" on the surface? If not, where is the best depth or location? Thanks for sharing.. Planning a trip down in March.
  21. You can also put in at Emerald Beach boat ramp by Golden or Viney Creek Campgrounds.. Emerald is free. Viney needs day use fee. No big boat needed down at this end on the white river. Take 86 to J. Follow J to entrance of Viney Creek. Turn right, then left on Emerald drive. Take Emerald to Mockinbird, take a left, Then right on Turkey Mtn road. If you end up in the water, you've gone too far.
  22. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. I often get to fish Table Rock and I always make it a point to check this site out. I appreciate everyone who has contributed to me being able to put more fish in the boat. Thanks Again. Glenn
