If you have fished one or more of these tournaments and either did or did not make it too the fish off but you don't have a partner or a boat I really want to fish this and my partner has another fish-off with his bass club the same day you don't need any money or a boat just have to had fished at least one of these tourney's. My phone number is 417-988-0925 and my name is Brandon if interested call me and let me know I have to get a partner fast. Tornament is 7am-3pm I think.
Must have been the front moving in they are there just got to find them I have noticed the SB bite starting to gradually pick up with this storm blowing through who knows what they will do
Yeah there had to have been 40-50 boats saturday at Old State Park but I can't find any info on them to know what ramp, entry fee or time I checked fin and feather and most of them are on Pomme or T-Rock but still none on Stockton
brad i fished them i was refering to after the oct 10th fish off and the crappie fish off is next weekend just looking to see if any one knows about one that I don't
What's it need a sail for from the sounds of it we can idle and still not have nothing to worry about maybe we can pretend we are in a bass tournament and see where that gets us apparently from the looks there are more sail boats then bass fisherman isn't that great. I guess there just are no tourney's time to head for the rock soon.
I have been looking around but not finding many tournaments that are open mostly just fish-off or bass clubs if any one knows of some open tourneys let me know please.I see alot on other lakes but I would like to stay on stockton.
Sounds like it was a good turn out if I wasn't in the process of purchasing a different boat I think my father and I would have been present hoping to make the next one
I would run up to Price Branch if you want to catch keepers sit on a tree for 20 mins if you don't get bit move to another try to focus on 25-35 ft timber drop offs near by are good I did well last week good luck let us know how you did
yep any time fishing is a better time than working all though make more money working but I think with a little time in advance I can get some one to fish if I can't find any one I will let you know.
Well I guess it don't matter how well you fish just would have been nice to have a partner to talk to it was a long night but i brought home a nice 22 in Walleye and a limit of white bass but only one keeper crappie tough night. But was a great time grab a partner and come on out and see us the rest of the tournaments are in the day time.
I need a partner for tonight's crappie tourney my buddy has to work if interested you don't need any money just need to know how to fish well my number is 988-0925 Thanks
I heard of a 9 lb coming out of there on thursday but nothing about an 11 the picture of the fish is on the braggin board at Bass Pro still a 9 out of Stockton is a respectable fish by all means
I used to have a hummingbird 565 and I could never see my lure and struggled to pick up brush piles at all my crappie tournaments even the marked piles it would hardly pick up but I got my Eagle for less than 199 and it works way better in my opinion than the 565.Just thought I would voice my opinion before you are in the exact same situation two hundred dollars later.Mine is the 320 vince has a 480 good finders very accurate.
Well the results of the crappie tournament is once again we suck!!!!! I had a good spot but there where people all over it too so not like I was hoping for but we caught the heck out of white bass and I mean good whites we could not get our baits down far enough to catch any good crappie we would make it 5-8 ft and then catch a white not really one to complain but they could have bit on a different evening.Caught probably 60 or 70 short crappie they where with the white's we only caught one keeper the entire night. It took 4 pounds and some change to win with 6 fish.Vince took 2nd with 3 fish it was a very tough night trying to find keeper fish.Too many shorts.
Went camping this week end at Ruark West did a little crappie fishing Fri night did good on shiners in 15-35 ft off secondary points (mainly power line cove) also did real good on white bass and crappie in the Cedar Ridge area in 15-30 ft off main lake points fish were nailing the shiner at about 5-8 ft mostly whites and short crappie had lots of bait fish around the boat at Cedar Ridge with the lights but few and far between at Power Line bite was alot better at power line with more keeper crappie.Cat fishing was good ran jug lines caught some real nice cats Sat morning after the crappie Tournament they bit real good until 6:00 am then I left when it slowed down. Did bass fish Ruark West Saturday in the middle of the day caught 11 keepers off one bank in about 1-6 ft flippin the tree's had a toad going almost 7 it was real close also most fish were keepers that averaged 17 in. Only had 4 shorts got to hit them coves hard all the way to the back it gets a little rough but well worth getting in there. Was a good fishing trip in my opinion one of the best week ends in a while. The river and creek areas are really dirty looks like choclate milk main lake was not too awful bad but stained none the less.Did however notice that there was a ton of debris floating at Cedar Ridge and I am not talking about twigs I mean big butt logs so watch it at night or bring an extra prop.Good Luck and tight lines.

I figured that there would be more than 3 boats but the same thing happened last year so I guess it is time to go back to Bass Fishing being as how I donate my money every time any way. It is a good strong bite right now you can catch some good crappie.
