  1. They should start stocking Stripers in the Rock. Stripers could help the enconomy right along with the bass, walleye and crappie. They will eat the large shad that barely any other fish can eat.
  2. We were trolling with the trolling motor. Mostly using live bait(shad). We threw some topwater artificial baits. Only one took a chance at a topwater. W e were fishing out in front of the main mudline. Water was still murkey but clearer. In my opinion fishing should be good this weekend and the water will be up for some time. All the fish we caught had empty bellies. They should be hungry as were the ones we caught.
  3. Fished the weekend out of Lost Bridge South. Had one good blow up on a mirro Saturday morning, but didn't work at it too hard since we we trolling mostly. Caught four trolling the mornings with the kids so we didn't fish must past 8 or 8:30. Lost Bridge South was very muddy Sunday with the south wind but had cleared some today. Good weekend for the kids though.
  4. We have stayed at Lost Bridge North several times lately outside of the reservation window. The latest stay being late October. The electricity has always been on for our stays. You might call the Beaver Project office to the find out for sure?
  5. Stump Bumper they were stripers and hybrids. Caught 4 stripers and one hybrid.
  6. Lot of of mid lake topwater action just after sunrise today. Picked up three in 45 min.
  7. Does anyone know where the mud line is, or if it is muddy from the rains around Prairie Creek area.
  8. At what point will the top water bite pick back up? Mid to late August or is it more into September.
  9. Thanks for those who replied with help for bait. Anyone catching any stripers as of late? Heading down to give it a try this weekend around Prairie Creek Area. Is the water murkey or will it be clearing up?
  10. Thank for the info Samkam1 and zarraspook. We live in Nixa and Beaver is just to close to not make a couple trips down a year to give them a try. Ventris seems like a good midpoint in the lake to try. Last year we made it down to Starkey, caught lots of fish but no stripers. The nine year old enjoys fishing aslong as he is busy, doesnt matter wether he is catching them or not. Has anyone had any luck this year with the stipers.
  11. Thanks for the response! What about on the lake? Does Prairie Creek or a marina near Ventris that has bait. It's a long way around to Rogers.
  12. We are new to Beaver lake. Would like to show my 9 year what a striper is like as well as catch my first one. Looking for information on getting bait near Ventris launch. Where would the closest bait shop be that would have shiners and such. Would be coming in from Missouri on 37 and going through Garfield.
