Such a simple concept, I have no clue as to why it alludes so many. No mention of hunting. No mention of target practice. No mention of collecting. No mention of what may be considered as "reasonable" restrictions. No mention of what "arms" are allowed.
A someone above wrote, we had just won our freedom from an oppressive government, by force!!!! The framers were well aware that this country could also become oppressive and the whole purpose of the Bill of Rights was their way of limiting what the government could do to us. If, and I repeat "if", we have no way to protect those "inalienable rights", then history has repeatedly shown we will lose all of them.
I am not a gun nut.

Whether, what, or if I own guns is unknown to anyone but me.
I am not a member of the NRA (I would if they promised to never contact me).
I am an American, who still believes I have a right to defend my "inalienable rights".
