  1. If you go just north of the park and head up stream there is a bunch of brush that is on the left bank under the 2nd bridge, its highway 30. If your on foot it would be easiest to access the river from Fenton park. Good Luck.
  2. A few guys asked me before about catching carp on dry flies around George Winter park. NOW IS THAT TIME. I have seen some monster grass carp coming up around bushes were ever seeds/nuts are dropping in the water. Soon as something hits the water a carp will come up and grab it. Been bow fishing two spots were I just throw pieces of dog food in then they come right up. GOOD LUCK
  3. We go down there every year on a couple float trips. Just try and catch craw dads while your stopped and drag them through the deep pools, you will catch a few decent smallies. Thats usually the only luck I have with the "zoo".
  4. Had a friend get a ticket for putting a canoe on a lake that was private property but he had been fishing it for 8 years. Cost him $70. Good luck.
  5. Right now you could defenitly catch a carp on a dry fly. Any where trees are dropping anything in the water the carp are stacked up
  6. I can give you two pieces of advice. I fish that area quite a bit,I do find the ocassional school of crappie and white bass, few large mouth and cats. However this area seems to be a trophy drum area. I would say get a buddy pack a cooler and just tight line with worms or minnows. Minnows will catch just about everything there. I myself love bass fishing and I get tired of this rather quickly. Option two (what I do all the time down there) GET A BOW AND START SHOOTING ASAIN CARP You can shoot till you get tired of shooting. P.S. Be very Careful just north of GW, stick to the right(east bank) water on the other side gets very shallow, got the jet stuck a few times. Good Luck Shores
  7. Anybody know if the water around fenton has cleared up at all? Saturday it looked like chocolate milk. Thinking about taking off tomorrow and seeing if any fish are biting. Maybe just see what a bucket of minnows will get me.
  8. Waiting to hit the water

  9. For the carp if you wanna try a good spot from the bank go to the north side of GW and there is a feeder creek you could follow. Where that hits the main river they stack up pretty good.

  10. I'm not sure about right now. I know that they really school up good when it begins to get hot. Here soon they will begin to stack up at the mouths but I have not seen them hit anything on the surface. I do know that if you use large white streamers you guys may have some goog luck in some of the slack waters with gar if your jusst interested in a good fight.
  11. I run a 16 foot camo polarkraft. Usually hanging out beween George Winter and Pacific. Soon as it warms up you will see me bowfishing every chance I get just north of GW. TAking out all the asian carp I can. If you ever would like to give it a try hit me up. Thanks Ryan
  12. I tend to fish the Meramec from about Pacific Palasades south to Fenton, any one have any luck catching any crappie yet? Last year started hitting them as the water was up? Also curios has anyone caught any sauger or walleye in this region in the winter months when the water is clear? Thanks for your guidance Ryan
  13. I got a jet boat and I really like it for the summer months when the water is low, but even during the sprign there are shallow areas just north of GW
  14. Thanks for the advice.
  15. I'm fishing the Gasconade this weekend with my buddy up by Gerald I think. We are going about a half hour up 50. Any tips /suggestions on how to tackle them up there? Also are there any walleyes out that way? Last question, we both bowfish and were wondering if it would even be worth bringing the bows along at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks shores
