A couple days ago, 5/11/09, my friend and I decided to rent a canoe from the Fellows Marina, but much to our dismay the gate was closed. There was a handwritten sign on the gate that said it was closed due to damage from the storm. What a shame since it was an absolutely beautiful day; no wind, little cloud cover, very gentle breeze, and the temperature was just right. So we decided to park nearby and walk over to check it out. Now, I only had the camera on my phone so the pictures aren't the best but they'll give you an idea.
These are the steps that used to lead onto the dock,
and this is where the dock is now relative to the steps.
If you're not familiar with the Fellows Marina then you should know that it is approximately 100 yards from where it was and is now facing the opposite direction. We ended up going to McDaniels instead. He caught a couple perch and one small crappie, and I didn't catch a thing. A lady showed up next to us fishing with worms and within the first 15 minutes she had three small perch and a nice sized white bass. Better luck next time I guess.
