hawg wobbler

Fished Tuesday out of Tucker and managed a sow white and 13' crappie. Nice to be out in January tho and not having the guides ice up. Did see a flock of about 11 turkeys with 4 gobblers strutting and gobbling.

I don't have much knowledge of the stripers below the dam at Toad Suck, but I fish below Dardanelle quite a bit. It is pretty common to find stripers in the tailwaters any time of the year, but especially as it gets closer to spring and warmer days, more and more stripers/whites will start showing up. Large jigs, spoons, swimbaits will all work. Also, if you like catfishing, don't overlook the big blues in the AR river, this is actually a great time to fish for them.

with the kayak, you should be able to get back into the creeks far enough that you may not see another boat or at least very few and have some decent fishing all to yourself. depending on where you are staying, google maps might give you an idea of some convenient locations to launch the kayak.
