  1. they are pricey I think I might buy a replacment ghost net ($25 or so) and restring it on my old net, save some $$$. I hope it is as easy as it sounds.
  2. how do you like your ghost net? I think I am going to get one.
  3. I have some small ones that work pretty good in calm water without weight. Have never tried the stick-ons, I move my indicater around alot and was thinking were you put those is were they stay, is that right? One thing that I really liked about the TMB is the different colors, the clear(glow), black and white ones would not spook the fish near as much as orange, red, ect. I have been fishing the current alot and there is alot more swift, choppy water were you would need to add some weight to get your fly on the bottom and the TMB colors and design seem like a pretty good idea.
  4. FFM thanks for the link, I really like the idea of using rubberbands to eliminate the kinking, will definatly try that next time out. I was really looking for an indicater that worked well in swift, choppy water with a weighted nymph and it sounds like the TMB might be it.
  5. Just wondering if anybody has used them and what your opinion is on them. It seems like a good product but do they leave a kink in your line if you move them up or down? Or if you have an indicater you like. I have been using Thill's and the small round orange ones but just thought I would look around for somthing new.
  6. very nice, was it busy.
  7. Yep way to many misses from the free throw line and layups but they played hard plus WV played their game. Mizzou will only get better with recruites that Anderson is bringing in, the future looks bright. Football next, GO MIZZOU
  8. how was the weather? It snowed all day and was windy up north(columbia). glad to hear that fishing was good for you. how far down river did you fish.
  9. love it. GO MIZZOU
  10. where did he catch it, or is it a secret spot? the only place I know of around here with golden trout is the white.
  11. love catching bluegill on fly rod with cork poppers, they are pretty fiesty and easy to catch. can't wait to grab the personal pontoon or bellyboat and head to the strip pits, good news. they are also very tasty and I don't feel to guilty for keeping them.
  12. that's pretty crazy almost looks fake. did you catch him on the white. very nice fish though.
  13. I own a pair and love them, I have had them for close to 4yrs., I did have to put a little wader repair on the inside seam after a trip to colorado but since then nothing and I have went though stickers numerous times on the current and toted them around alot. I sound a little like a salesman for them but for the price I think they are a great wader. when I replace the ones I have I will buy anouther pair. I give them two thumbs up.
  14. I have read some good reviews about watershed, has anybody used it and how well does it work after fish, etc.
  15. I have only used the floatant gels (loon aquel) and they seem to work ok, but I was wondering about the "stuff" you put on right after you tie the fly. how well do they work, are they more of a hard (stiff) finish, and what is the best kind. I am fairly new to tying my own flies and it seems that if I could put somthing on after I tie and not have to mess with it on the water that would be a bonus.
  16. just wondering if they have started the minimum flow rule and if they have how has it changed the fishing? I know they have been running alot of water but it seems like there was a day or two of low flow. just wondering how much water they are pushing down and if it is enough to change fishing spots from how they were.
  17. Is the catch and release season at maramec springs friday thru monday, or is it all week long?
  18. jgentile I was at tan vat parking lot when you pulled in and parked (green jeep). fished downstream, usually do pretty good but definatly a slow day, sounds like spin fishing was the way to go. I was thinking it was becouse it was the tail end of the holiday weekend, guess not.
  19. take your cell phone and call corp. site for real time generation every hour alittle after the hour to see if they are turned on. I think it takes about 40min. for the water to get down there. To be safe just walk down and fish infront of the parking lot until it comes.
  20. I went not to long ago and there was a big trico hatch (very tiny, much smaller than 28's) and a good caddis hatch, lots of early morning risers. Every time I go I enjoy it more and more.
  21. I have tried to find the 4th edition on ebay and amazon but nobody has it, even a couple of fly shops that I was sure would carry it. I will try to get one on the way down. thanks again. Anyone else with advise?
  22. Thanks for the report, I am taking a fishing trip next week and will be down at the white about mid week. I have never been there before so I did some research on were to go, the two places I know forsure we will go are rim and norfork. I have not heard about the catch and release behind the dam were exactly is that, isn't rim catch n release? Is there anyplace else that is a must fish spot. We will be wading, thanks in advance. P.s. I hated to see it rain down there yesterday and this morning, lake levels were just getting good.
  23. I will have to say The Fly Stop does have good, inexpensive flies and you can use pay pal. Will be at B-springs on monday hope dry fly action picks up.
  24. I was down there on saturday from about 5:00am till the generators got turned on at 3:00, fished between boat ramp to pt. royal. It was definitly a weired day with all the fog, cool temps and rainy in the morning to sunny and hot. Saw the guy bow fishing at pt. royal and he seemed pretty selctive at what he was shooting at. I was alot less impressed with the two yawhos in the john boat flying around. They went passed me twice once at pt. royal and just down from boat ramp right before the generators turned on and both times they went no more than two feet from my indicater with speed. But other than the yahows had a good day nothing big but it was fun. Generators cut my day short, couldn't wait for water to go back down needed to get back to columbia at a decent time.
