vacation what part of the lake are you guys in? we have a group of guys coming with our dads for a few days under the full moon. Sure would like to get them in some fish. We stay up around cape fair but would travel for the right bite!!!!!

Getting ready for another year of night fishing at the ROCK!!!! Coming from out of state for the full moon in a couple of weeks. New to the board. Been coming to the Rock for 20+ years and you guys are right there is hardly ever any info on night fishing conditions. We come two to three times a year for 3 to 4 nights. Last year the water was so high we went to Lake of the Ozarks and hammered them. Don't want to drive the extra time and would love to come back where we know the lake. Two years ago we got in one cove and never came out it was so good. But the last 10 years as a whole has been a lot of hit and miss. Of course we always come around the full moon, but it has been very disappointing as a whole for a long time. Does anyone feel the same way or am I just imagining it? Coming back for the full moon in June, we usually fish the James River area around Cape Fair. Are there places that we are not fishing that are head over heels better? thanks for the opinions. Just wanting to make some memorable trips for my son and I. Oklahoma D

When I try to look at the middle james river map it comes up as lower james river? I did find the middle on another page and was curious on why there were no spots marked for L,K,SM. I have fished this area for years and have had a lot of success here. Is it that you do not fish that far up or do you consider the areas you have marked to be considerably better. If that is the case I am willing to try something different. We always night fish and have had real good luck up this way. I know the water is very murky right now and was trying to decide where to fish this next weekend during the full moon. I love the rock and would love to find other areas to fish besides middle james, that's just where I've always gone.
