Anyone know where to buy bait shrimp in the area?

wd 40? really? never heard that one before,. does anyone know of a good place for cats around Bolivar Landing? Or a river access around Bolivar that could produce cats?

I understand Wayne,. it's just a shame to see such a beautiful river abused like that but the dollar bill does put blinders on alot of people these days.

I am not a supporter of over regulation by the DNR the MDOC or anyone else, but it would seem that there would be more more presence on a river with as much "traffic" as on the Niangua, Also not one to knock someone that wants to toss a couple back and have a good time in the sun,. but at the point that people were being life flighted off the side of the river due to alcohol poisoning, kids are yelling across the river for respectable women with husband and kids in the raft or canoe with them to "earn some beads",.. then to cuss them when they politely try to ignore them and paddle by,... rude, not cool,.. and disrespectful,.. I know that this type of behavior is present just about everywhere,. but to disrespect a Family in this manor is unexceptable. There is a difference between a canoe full of college kids and a mom and dad trying to epose their kids to the great outdoors,... thank goodness that the moms were respectable enough not to expose themselves to the great outdoors,...

I don't think they even took the time to photo shop it guys,. they just dangled the fish from the line close to the camera and tried to line it up so that the guy looks like he is holding it,... it's kinda funny really,.. now that I know how to have "proof" of catching the "big" ones,..I'll probably be posting some pics of my kids holding up the 20 pound bluegill they catch,..lol

Talked to the guy that owns the cabins there at Caplinger and he said the white bass, walleye, and crappie all ate being caught right now, said that the catfish are still slow. Hope this helps

Motor is 65 hp, and is from around the mid 1960's. hoping to find one by this weekend. Any and all help or direction is greatly appreciated, I just don't want to go drop a couple hundred bucks on a new one!

Thanks for the info,. doesn't sound like it's too big of deal. Little Pepto and the kids will be fine. (just kiddin) But it's good to know that they are at least shooting the info to the public in a timely fashion this year. I understand the strain that not using our lakes can have on tourism dollars, but I think our health and childrens health should possibly take a little bit of priority. Thanks again.

Been hearing that pomme has been put on e-coli lock down.. that'll make it rough on the swimmers for the holiday weekend! Anyone know if this is just a rumor or if it's true, if ture what are the levels and regulations on it? Safe to Tube, swim, etc? And I assume that the fish will still be safe to eat? (not bass guys,.. I know how bad a post about eating them feller's can go, LOL) Just wondering, trying to figure out which water is the safest for the kiddies.

That's kinda what I was thinking, but wanting to stay away from the consiracy theories. Either way Sad story for sure. We should all still definetly keep the mother in our prayers and on the prayer list at our churches. So does anyone know if they cancelled the search or not?

It has been my understanding that Muskies in the lake are there, but catching them is few and far between,.. like the others said,.. usually while targeting the homo genus of the bass family. Is it considered a "hate crime" to talk about these fish this away,.. Maybe the Corp should intigate a "don't catch, don't tell" policy! LOL

I've been wanting to go put in and go fishing but something about me finding these guys myself is a little spooky, especially since I would have my 7 and 8 year old Daughters with me. Hey guys, Gutted my boat this weekend and found that the foam below the floor is totally trashed,.. I don't even think it'll float. I had a guy that was camping next to me last summer tell me a story that he had used a few cans of that exandable foam to fill the bottom of is boat after replacing his floor. Is that a viable option or was he just full of "great idea's". I don't want to be one of those guys that the last thing he said was "watch this"!!! if this is not a good option,... does anyone know where to pick up some foam at a reasonable price?

I am Planning My annual Managerial Retreat to Roaring River, and I usually stay in the Rock Village Court cabins, I was just curious if anyone knew the names or rates of cabins closer to the river,.. or possibly right on the water? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
