    Special Permits

thanks I'll get him on it.
  2. My Father is needing to apply for a permit to be able to use a cross bow during regular archery season. Does anyone know how to go about this if there is a form or something he needs to send to the state. Please help the old man out!
  3. ok here's the original "body" pic. and here is a link to the only video I could find about the body after it's been thawed. Maybe I'm crazy but looks like 2 different "masks" to me, just doesn't match IMO. http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/pop...13&src=news
  4. Ok guys if your read my other thread about the monsterquest shows, you know that I do have some conspiracy issues,... uh, if it is a costume like they are saying,.... where are the pics of it after it was defrosted? At least the "hoaxers" provided pics trying to prove what they were saying was "true". Not that I believe that it really was the body,.. but as cadilla said,.. Bascardi did invite reporters and other members of the media there to "touch it, prod it, smell it,... what ever it took for them to believe he was telling the truth" So what did happen to the costume???????
  5. Who really cares about catching fish when your having all that other fun! Sounds like you had a Great trip, having 3 girls myself (2,5,&6) I totally understand counting to 10, the bead of sweat, the bathroom trips, the untangling, etc,... but I especially understand not wanting to trade the day for anything! Good job murdoc. it's also good to know that the life span of a zebco is 24 yrs, 364 days and 22 hours.LOL!!!

    Snakes

Do you know the "Hoggards"? what a quinky dink.
  8. Each species is different, I found a fish weight calculator on the web somewhere last summer after catching my first and last 10lb (estimate according to measurements) largemouth. If I can find it again I will post the link, pretty cool device for catch and releasers.
  9. Bleach. If you have been exposed and develop the rash, scrub the area real well preferably until almost raw, with a scouring pad of some sort at least something abrasive (sos pads not reccomended!) once cleaned dump some straight up bleach on it, don't worry about dilluting it, be tough, once you wake up from passing out with the pain the rash won't itch any more, and will be dried up the next day and gone the day after that. I thank my honery grandfather for this knowledge, he passed it on when I was younger (and more gullable). All jokes aside, it works!!!

  12. thanks Tim, unfortunatley this is my first time even trout fishing, so haven't invested in a fly rod (yet). I'm excited to get down there, we'll be using spinning rods.

  19. Gonna camp @ Hootentown, then probably go on the float down to Hootentown, not really a local of the area so I don't recall all the access point names, But I love that floating that river!!! Like I said it's how my wife and I celebrate our anniversary each year,... Yeah I got a good one! she doesn't like the fishing but she does like to float, see the sights, and catch some sun. Which is all fine with me since I get to fish the whole way!
  20. My wife and I will be taking our annual camping/ float for our anniversary in a couple of weeks and I was just wondering what the smallies hitting on, is anyone catching any cats?
  21. No idea Trav, you might check my latest post in "general chat" go to the link there. do some research It is kinda hard to see detail on the pic to identify it.
  22. After watching the national geographic "fishzilla" about the snakehead invasion and then remembering reading something on here about them catching one or some in Arkansas, i found this site. some of you might be surprised to find what kind of non native fish and animals are in your area. I had always heard stories of pirahna in stockton lake and heard of the aligator they caught down there a few years ago. Actually saw pics of it from a friend. this site kinda confirms and dispells alot of myths about it.http://nas.er.usgs.gov/
  23. Well Congrats on the move Mo,.. Heard texas has some pretty good waters down there you'll have to post some pics and let us see if everything really is bigger in Texas! The carp fishin has been real good aroundstockton lake so far this year, the water is crazy high, I think it's actually helpin the carp fishing. haven't had much luck with anything else, except drum off a little over flow just outside town here. Good luck in texas.
  24. Just watched a commercial this weekend for the Deadliest Catch video game on X-Box 360. Maybe some of you guys can live vicariously through the world of technology
  25. Sory about the quality of the photo it was pretty dark. Went down to a local overflow last night caught a few drum, this one by far the largest. There was a guy there when I showed up that had a 7-8 lb channel, and a flathead that was prbably 3-4 lbs, said he caught them within 30 minutes of each other around 6pm. I caught no cats, andonly had drum type bites all night.
