  5. Brian, thanks for the report. Looking forward to the Sept. trip.
  6. Nice report. Thank you.
  7. Brian Sloss at Eleven Point Canoe Rental for sure. We've used him a lot and we highly recommend him.
  8. How would this float tube do on rivers like the Eleven Point, Current, and North Fork of the White? I'm thinking about something like this for day trips instead of a solo canoe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-DL1uEQdHc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqi9uYhr1lU http://www.northforkoutdoors.com/2010showseasonspecials/2010showseasonspecials.html
  9. Al, exactly which solo canoe do you have? Do you have a link? (What you have sounds exactly like what I'd like to have)
  10. How's Mill Creek Fishing These Days? Good numbers of fish? Any larger fish?
  11. Does this store have a website?
  12. Got a link to where that net can be purchased?
  13. My current net is killing my back, so I'm in the market for a good quality, light-weight, fly fishing net. Any suggestions?
  14. What are the recommended trout flies for the Current River near Tan Var and downstream? I'd be interested in pattern name, hook size, and color. Other than eggs and san juans I mean.
  15. Is it totally impossible to fish successfully for trout with dry flies on the Eleven Point River? Has anyone ever had any success fishing dries down there?
  16. We did not hire a guide this time. One of my brothers lives in Utah and is familiar with all of those streams. In fact, I tied most of my own flies and caught fish with all of them.
  17. Posted some photos of my Utah trout fishing trip here: http://picasaweb.goo...hFishingTrip02# Caught some nice browns, cutthroats, and 1 very nice tiger. We fished Left Fork Huntington Creek Upper and Lower, Fish Creek, and Sixth Water. Awesome trip. Here's a pic of the tiger trout.
  18. Nice report. Thanks for the pics!
  19. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to PM me or post the info here. Thanks! Also, where do the Current River and the Black River connect?
  20. The weather was perfect. It takes 3-5 to 4 hours from Columbia when you go down 63 to Rolla and then across and down from Salem.
  21. We caught about 5 fish or so with several more hook ups. Our skill level is pretty low, so I'd imagine catching a lot more was possible. All of the fish we caught were of good size and put up good fights with several leaping out of the water.
  22. We had a great trip. We ended up driving down early on Mon, fishing, and heading back home late on Monday (no camping). Tito and Brandon drove us out to Greer Access. We fishing all the shoals, riffles, green (deep) water, etc. Almost all of the fish we caught were on egg patterns. Most of the fish were around 15 inches or so I'd say. I caught a huge crawdad on a don's craw fly. Brian picked us up at Turner Mill. Great day on the river.
  23. The "Tiger Slam" was all 4 majors in a row, but not in the calendar year. Your slam is much cooler.
  24. And all in the same calendar year!
