  1. Amazing what fifteen miles east will do, huh Ness? We have over 2.25, and I am out around Larry Town.
  2. Wow. I should have posted that I found one. Thanks guys!
  3. I sent you a PM regarding this. Let me know.
  4. Tom was a great man!
  5. Sure it isn't her that is laughing all the time in bed?
  6. Trout don't belong, otters do. That is the long and short of it.
  7. Vs Southeastern LA = W VS Georgia = W Vs Arizona St = L VS South Carolina = L VS UCF = W VS Vanderbilt = W VS Alabama = L VS Kentucky = W Vs Florida = L VS Tennessee = W VS Syracuse = W VS Texam A&M = W I think this is a 7-5/8-4 team this year given a favorable schedule, but next year is going to be rough.
  8. Mizzou, 7-5, bowl berth against a Big 12 team. I cannot wait to see Georgia get shocked in Columbia on September 7th. We have a few tough games, and will every year from here out.
  9. 6' L power spinning rod, pick your flavor 1500 size Shimano mid-grade reel, Symetre, Saros, etc. 4# test, copolymer in clear, Vicious, PLine, take your pick.
  10. How was fishing?
  11. DeLorme makes a good atlas and Google Maps is your friend.
  12. JD, we have had a total of 1.21" of rain at home in July. Our yearly total is -12+" of normal. I can't express how bad the crops, every crop, not just corn and beans are here. There will not be a second cutting of hay. We could use some of that rain bud, but you can keep it. Your rivers and creeks are prettier than mine.
  13. I am looking for an old Daiwa Millionaire. I have one and really like it, so I would like to pick up another one. Let me know if you have one and what you'd want for it.
  14. darn dude. That looks fun!
  15. This is a river I would like to float at some point in time. I guess I should start shopping for a boat first, right?
  16. Diesel can and does burn cleaner Tim. Modern diesel trucks with their dual particulate filters and modern electronics run much cleaner and are a viable alternative to gas and hybrids.
  17. I agree Wayne. We cannot make this change overnight, it has to be a gradual thing. If you look at the vehicles owned by the masses overseas, there is almost a 50/50 split between diesel and petrol, but here it is closer to 10/90 diesel to gas. What do they know that we don't? Ford makes a diesel Focus for the Euro markets that I would love to see here.
  18. If we can create some form of alternate energy and get the entire government behind it, it could make a dent in OUR amount of pollution. I am not even against a minimum fuel economy requirement for cars and light duty trucks, call it 40mpg for cars (displacement doesn't matter, they can all do it) and 30mpg for half ton trucks. Diesel cars would be an easy way to attain the 40mpg, but for some reason the US isn't too keen on them. They burn cleaner than gasoline engines and every European manufacturer offers diesels in everything from a sub compact to an executive sedan to a crossover to suit 75% of vehicle needs. GM had a diesel half ton in the mid 90s and Dodge has been kicking around the idea of putting a Cummins 4 cylinder or V6 into a Ram 1500. If they would do this, we could attain higher fuel economy in newer vehicles. This would help our situation in the long run. If anyone could get over their allegiance to big, gas guzzling v8 trucks for daily use and purchase a nice used VW TDI or something for daily driving and keep the truck for heavy hauling. This is one way we could reduce our pollution figures.
  19. Randy, that comment is spot on.
  20. Good point. Oh well, I've been wrong before. Chief, you are correct. That is nothing more than Republican Conservativism in its purest form. Mitch read the part about dissenters in your link. That is where I found my view of American Exceptionalism.
  21. At your age, you are lucky to see at all. It may be a bobcat, but it is a huge bobcat.
  22. This is my thoughts on that picture. The head definitely looks like a lion, and the body appears to be much larger than a bobcat.
  23. Mitch, the concept of American Exceptionalism is that we do no wrong, are the best at everything and everyone else is beneath us. Well, that isn't the case. I am as proud an American as you will find, but I find my pride in reality, knowing that we are indeed a world power in business, athletics, government (sometimes) and any other aspect for a reason.
