140's should be out there, I'm deep in the southern Missouri ozarks where I would think the deer would be even smaller. There are plenty of 140's around, but because of the timber you really must put in some time and effort to see them. I'm amazed at the trail cam pictures that come from my area, talking 160's to 180's not that uncommon, but these deer are seldom shot, and rarely seen. I don't shoot smaller bucks, but it is all personal preference, if I see a 130 and I like it, no shame in taking it. I usually let them walk because I'd just as soon have a doe as a set of mediocre antlers, if I shoot a buck it will be a wall hanger, but at age 40 I only have 2 on the wall.

The closer to the big cities the crazier the crowds, an extra hour or two of driving is a small price to pay to not have your weekend ruined by drunks. I'm biased, but the NFoW, has some of the best, most consistent water in the Ozarks.

As someone who grew up in the SEK, I must say I enjoy living in Mo. More than in Ks. Kansans are nicer people in general in my opinion, I like KU basketball, Gorilla football, and now root for Mizzou since they are in the SEC, yes the rivalry is dead KU won't play MU for the same reason Mizzou won't play MSU, there is no upside, only the chance of an upset. I hope Mizzou gets a good coach because long term I think they have a better chance at being a bball power than a football power in the SEC. Rcjh, MIZ, EMAW, and gooorillas! Am I a fence straddler, yes I am, I love sports and enjoy supporting all my local teams, except Missouri southern and Northwest Missouri State! Kim Anderson for president!

I agree if you can't get a well known guy then make everyone happy and go with Anderson, I think she'll do just fine, if not at least the masses are happy with the choice until she gets fired.

Who is she? I did have a big talk with Zaire Taylor once about them needing to beat Kansas, after the motivational speech he didn't whoop me or Kansas. In all seriousness,while Anderson can obviously coach, I'm not sure coming from D2 that he can get the kind of recruits needed to compete. That could be totally wrong, but recruiting is the first step we need to make sure the new coach can put together a good group of players to teach.

I have had people do it, don't really care unless they use my bathrooms, my main campground is above the highwater mark so as long as they don't come up to the campground (unless they are buying something at the store) there's not much I can do. If they are down there using drugs or bugging my campers then I will get smokey involved.
