This will be my second trip (first back in March) to Maramec Springs and my second time to fly fish, so I thought I would seek out some local advice to make it as worthwhile as possible. I will be arriving around 1 pm on Thursday afternoon so I have a couple hours to fish. With that in mind, what fly's would you start with? Dry or Wet? If wet, how far should I place the shot weight (s) from the fly? Where would you start fishing at the park? Last time I was there, after the horn blasted, I wandered around the bend close to the Maramec River and saw major schools of fish just sitting in the shallow pool-like structures off the main river current? Will these trout bite at all? I assumed if they would everyone would gather around these pools since it would be like shooting "fish in a barrel". Any help is greatly appreciated as I saw that there will be a high of around 47 and it will be clear that day, so I want to take full advantage of this fishing opportunity.
