  1. Targa, go to blogs at the top and the scroll down to Trolling for Table Rock walleyes great info and it can be apply to any lake. Walleye Central is another forum dedicated to walleye fishing I hope I don't in trouble for mentioning there name on this site....lol Good luck Sunday
  2. I hope the link above works I was using a foot shorter rig and had a silver blade in front of the slow death hook with a number 5 bead in front and behind the blade and trolled .8 mile per hour. Dennis is right the moss is a pain and you have to keep it just off the bottom. You will lose rigs and bottom bouncers doing this but it will catch fish. Dennis has a good way also and if you hang up you won't lose as much. There is a lot of info on spinner rigs if you google it. RPS who hangs out on the Table Rock site wrote an article about rigs he makes and how he fishes them and it's somewhere in Ozark Anglers I'll try and find it good luck.
  3. Went eye fishing both days got a limit down one bank Thursday but worked hard today to get a limit both days 17' to 23' using nightcrawlers on a spinner harness fished north of Hartley launch.
  4. I did WM the bite was good when you found them. I trolled for crappie afterwards and caught 4 but 2 of my eyes started to go belly up in the livewell so I went home, need to bring a cooler an ice with me next time.
  5. I went walleye fishing today an caught fish between 18' an 24' using spinner rigs with nightcrawlers. You had to stay off the bottom or you were in moss, I never seen it so bad. I fished the Big Sac arm north of the mile long bridge.
  6. Nice fish....I would be hanging that on my wall
  7. Whoops.....the water was stained definitely not clear
  8. I went yesterday and when I left at 3:00 past High Point I found some 50 degree water.
  9. The wind has kept me off the lake last couple of weeks, I would think its getting close with the warm temps.
  10. Good to hear your up and running again, fishing always gets you well quicker.
  11. Went today, crappie fished to start caught 5 for supper then tried for walleye an batted 0. Fished for the eyes near the channel edges between 20' an 30' around Cedar Ridge. Crappie were near brush 23' right on the bottom brown jig an minnow.
  12. Went crappie fishing at Cedar Ridge seen only one boat all day. Found some in shad 18' to 20' down over 27'. Used red an silver jig tipped with a minnow. Water temp was 39 on my graph, kept enough for dinner and one wally about 15.5'' I'm trying to get use to the new Ozark Angler website............. I don't know if I like it or not?
  13. Good luck Straw Hat I hope all goes well.
  14. It was a tough day crappie fishing. I would catch a couple then they would quit some piles nothing. I should have moved more instead of staying on the brush I caught a few at. Took home 5..............caught 27' to 30' on minnows and black an chartruse jig.
  15. Good job, that's hard lake to catch crappie on.
  16. Went to check out some new spots today the first area I came to had a bunch of crappie in it. I caught what I wanted then left to check other places. They were 20' to 23' on a black an chartruse jig with and without minnow. The other places I went to didn't pan out. I fished out of Hartley launch again an went north.
  17. Sorry WM my phone will take pictures but I'm to cheap to get the down load cord. Straw I fished the Old State park area but I was surprised they were that shallow this time of year. I thought they would be deeper the water temp when I left was 46. I wonder if they stay in that depth all winter? The bass guys are catching their fish shallow right now so why not the eyes? Thoughts anyone??????
  18. Went crappie fishing today it's been awhile, first stop a nice keeper right off the bat then nothing so I changed spots while moving towards a different pile I was dragging a blk an chartruse jig tipped with a minnow on the bottom and a 20" walleye got on my jig. Caught 1 more and lost 3 same spot. I ended up dragging a jig on rocky points the rest of the day caught on more keeper the eyes were caught in 17' of water the one crappie was about 23' all in all a good day.
  19. About 50 miles north but, came back from KC today and Truman on the west side of the highway 13 bridges there was large patches of ice. Hopefully the highs around here will stay in the forty's for awhile.
  20. It was a slow day, took home 3 crappies an 1 walleye the bite was few an light. Went around Birch Branch caught my 4 there then went up lake looking for more that didn't pan out. What I caught was on a steep rocky bank thanks for the info.
  21. Good job I'm glad somebody's fishing. I'm going Friday, hope the cold front pushing thru doesn't shut the fish down.
  22. I've been launching at the north one an haven't had a problem.
  23. Went to the Birch Branch area to crappie fish it was slower than last time. Brush piles I fished last time were duds, only caught one. I found some off a point an managed 6 more off them. Chartreuse an black jig did better than minnows. Caught them between 7' to 15'.
  24. If it get's down in the 850's again I will be marking spots to fish. I already found some new spots in Little Sac at the current level.
  25. Fished the Birch Branch area today first time I was that far south in awhile. Shad was everywhere I drowned minnows between 15' an 20' caught 12 a few of those were on a jig an minnow did catch one walleye on that combo. Hit about 7 brush piles it was slow but steady. It stopped around 9:00 then the wind picked up and so did the bite. Lot's of boats in that area quite a few were trolling my guess is after wally. I tried that for about an hour and caught one channel an called it a day.
