  1. Good job Straw Hat, you must be feeling better.
  2. It pays to compare, I changed my lower unit oil last week and I use Quicksilver 90W only place I could find it was Bass Pro. Went to SA to check it out and the same oil was $4.00 cheaper a quart.
  3. Went crappie fishing, I found them deeper today 23' right off the bottom using minnows on main lake brush piles. I tried shallower but did the best at 23'. 7 out of the 8 I kept were blacks. I must be getting soft, had my bib coveralls on till I left at 1:30
  4. Crappie are still biting good in the brush piles around 20' I used minnows and did not try a jig. I fished around Mutton. If your coming from Willard their chip and sealing 123. I think there suppose to be done tomorrow I hope.
  5. Hope all went well Straw.
  6. Google WalleyeCentral go to the top click on message board you may have to scroll off then back on click on boats then go back to the top and do a search, lots of info on Lund livewell problems good luck.
  7. Started the day crappie fishing main lake brush piles caught 10. Nine came from one brush pile in about 20' of water on minnows. Tried walleye fishing caught one keeper two shorts and three small channel cats. If you stayed in the wind it wasn't to bad but it got hot quick when you got out of it.
  8. I tried for walleye but came up with nothing but 4 shorts. But I brought some minnows and stopped at brush piles I came across and ended up with 10 keeper crappie, I tried a jig but they wanted minnows. It got hot so I quit and went home.
  9. Thanks lonkm
  10. Lonkm thanks for the info but I have a question, where is Hogan Rd?
  11. Sounds like a good spot. I went at sun up last Friday and caught them around 18' but it was cloudy which looks like tomorrow might be with a chance of rain in the forcast.
  12. I would go with a pontoon type of boat because it would be more level with the dock, easier to get a chair in an out plus hand rails around the boat. If it were just a regular boat I'm not sure.
  13. That's a nice fish, congratulations
  14. I'm no fan so I've done a little research. If a station sells non ethanol fuel it must have a sticker on the pump saying no ethanol, this is Missouri law. The only stations I know that sell it are the Signal stations in Springfield. The Conoco on Seminole and Glenstone and the station in Walnut Grove have signs saying so. I've only found it in premium. The Signal stores are 20 cents more per gallon versus regular, Walnut Grove is 30, Conoco don't know. I bring cans an fill them up so I have it when I need fuel. Little bit of a pain but I'm always in Springfield for something. Hope this helps.
  15. Sounds like a good day.
  16. On the walleye side of your question I've been fishing about 20' down on main lake points and been catching eating size 15" to 16" on spinner rigs an nighcrawlers attached to a BB. Check out Bob Bennett's posts he always knows where their at. Good luck Sorry Bob, I got your last name wrong earlier in the day.
  17. Bob's report is right on, I caught my walleye in 20' of water on a point near the Master's area using spinner rigs with a nightcrawler. I caught 4 crappie in the back of a winded cove. I lost another 4 lifting them out of the water, it was a good day to be on the water.
  18. RPS use a blue Sharpie permanent marker and color half or part of....one of those white floats.
  19. I didn't go much past Tucker that's a 10/4 on feet.
  20. Caught 4 keeper walleye all off them between 15 an 16. Trolling with a spinner rig an nightcrawler probably caught 9 all together. Tried crappie fishing the brush piles and never caught one. Straw Hat I did catch 3 channel cats while trolling the biggest about 2.5lbs thought I had a 5lb walleye. All the above in 20'to 23' on main lake points between hartley cove and point 2.
  21. I tried shallow in the brush but got tired of hanging up. The bottom of the lake is decorated better than ever. So I tried all the way to about 50 and a little deeper and marked some fish on the main lake points where the lake stayed straight. I caught them on nightcrawlers. When I said few that was two. The Bull humbled me to say the least. I'm going to Stockton tomorrow hopefully to wash away my BS memories. Rangerman do you know what there building by Tucker?
  22. Not much to report I fished mostly during the heat of the day and finaly caught a few walleye between 50 and 58. Not many boats lot's of sticks and leaves still floating. I launched off the road at the Woodard Park there was some parking off the road in the grass. Does anybody know what there building around the corner from Tucker Holler? Somebody is carving out the top of a bluff in that bend of the lake.
  23. Straw I can't believe it...........But I'm glad you posted what happened since alot of people visit this site. Maybe young an old will stop and think and learn the lake is getting smaller and more crowded. Just slowing down an showing common courtesy will make everybody's day more fun.
  24. That's what I like about Stockton in the summer you always catch bonus crappie when BB or crankbaits. The wind can get old but the upside is less people on the water, just wear a life jacket.
