  2. North Glenstone, heading north past I-44 first convenience store on your right about half a mile past 44. They cater to the Fellows lake crowd I think it's called Frank's.

  4. Anybody know if the Cedar Ridge launch is snow covered?
  5. It was 39 at Cedar Ridge Friday and slow also
  6. Went to Cedar Ridge today it's open, didn't catch many crappie but I slayed the whites at least ten of them were 14'' the best part was I caught most of them on a white doll fly hadn't used one in years been to busy using plastic........might have to rethink that.
  7. I went today at Cedar Ridge caught 4 keeper crappie and a bunch of shorts.....10 whites.....an 1 eye at around 23 deep. Check out the big coves for shad schools in the Big Sac arm and fish under them, I heard that from Bob's Stockton report this morning. Dkman.....Cedar Ridge was fine didn't see any ice
  8. Sorry to hear about your Mom. I'm glad you caught some fish...excuse me your wife Were you at the CC area? I always worry about that, this time of year you can be the only at the ramp or in the area.
  9. 26'.........good luck this weekend
  10. Got to Cedar Ridge at daylight expecting to get blowed away but it never happened. A few white caps when I launched but it was calmer when I left at 1:00. Caught 9 keepers 7 that was better than 11" and one of those was almost closed mouth 14" and probably 12 to 15 shorts. The first fish of the day was a 4lb cat I pulled out of a brush pile majority was caught on a chartruse jig one other boat at the launch when I left.
  11. Good report thanks Bob......................Also I use braid to help feel the light biters it seems to help me
  12. Late post but caught 7 nice crappie and a few whites yesterday on smoke and chartruse jigs about 20' Cedar Ridge. The sun was shining and I was dressed warm I never did get cold left about 1:30. I was the only one there when I arrived and left I'll bet they'll more out today.
  13. Women just don't understand
  14. What a difference a day makes I went yesterday one truck in the lot when I got there and I was the only one there when I left at 1:30 usually 15 or so on the lot during the week.
  15. Straw I went today also caught 7 keeps kept 4 for dinner. Water temp at Cedar Ridge was 57 fish were about 18' not many boats out maybe 10 trucks on the lot when I left.
  16. I tried your microwave method tonight on the crappie I caught yesterday and I really liked it. I used lemon pepper, red an black pepper, and a little bit of garlic salt microwaved for three minutes and was done. Lot less hassle than oven cooking. I still like fried but this has to be better for you...sucks to get old
  17. Straw, I went to Cedar Ridge today and the temp was 64 and dingy water towards High Point it cleaned up a little towards Maze. It was slow got there at sunrise and managed 5 keepers I did better with a chartreuse jig and crappie nibbles, not one fish with minnows.
  18. Good info Thanks Straw Hat
  19. That;s enough for a meal with some taters and beans.
  20. Went crappie fishing last week and did not catch a keeper.....fast forward to today I caught 10 keepers on a chartreuse jig and minnow in the first two brush piles I tried 16 to 21 feet. I think the fronts coming in helped today
  21. First, the Cedar Ridge ramp is closed because off the low lake level but as most of you know the campground launch is open an you can use it instead. Second, caught ten crappie using a chartreuse jig and crappie nibble had minnows but the jig seemed to work the best. Kept moving until I found some brush with fish around 20'. Got on the water at 5:30 left at 10:30.
  22. That's better than a limit any day
  23. Good job
  24. It's been slower for sure I went yesterday and found them about 23' deep around points quite a few shorts still using nightcrawlers nothing over 16''
