  1. they do get annoying....however I am keeping mine so no one forgets what kind of person you are.
  2. Who is John Galt?
  3. propane burns cleaner however is far less efficient than either gasoline or diesel.
  4. Its only two hours if you leave 2/3 of the way through.
  5. You think the people funding these studies have no intentions of taking control of things? They already have. That is what government is about: control.
  6. Yes, yes....but in the end its about control.
  7. its all about control.
  8. Let's pray we never lay down totally for the UN
  9. This is the post I have been waiting for. This is by far the best post in the thread. If this is the case(which seems to be true after reading this post), what do we do? How do we limit our economy without throwing us back into the dark ages?? BTW, no one except spiderman posted about their vehicles, should I make a spinoff thread?
  10. there are upsides to both. a jet will allow you to cover more miles of the river and fish in particular spots. but a canoe will allow you to get into tighter spots and be quieter. That is why I have both.
  11. Sorry, that is my fault. Since most people don't recycle cfls they get dumped into dumps. Unless that dump contains all water that gets into it the mercury gets into the water. I like your graph. Good scare tactics. a 1.5 degree temperature shift in 130 years should alarm us. This chart is nonsense. Please explain to me how the decrease in CO2 emissions between 1939 and 1942 caused global temps to rise? burden of proof you say? What about between 1905 and 1915 when the temperature dipped well below the CO2 line and came back up? CO2 emissions were steadily rising.
  12. You would be surprised how many people do not know. LED lights are low emission but have no mercury. Since everyone has "proven" my stupidity, please link me to a study that shows that human beings have caused any difference in the climate.
  13. They are XXL. I will ADD that to my signature along with your statement of undying love for liberal douchebags.
  14. Do not doubt scientists, they cannot be wrong. They werent wrong in the 70s, werent still wrong in the 90s and no way could they be wrong now. I am glad you brought up carbon credits. That is how the "scientific consensus" ties into greedy capitalists. CFL lights were supposed to save the world by saving energy, but NO ONE talks about the fact that there is mercury in them. The same company that is the largest maker of CFL's also is one of the companies in the best position to make ridiculous amounts of money off Carbon Credits. GE. My issue is if you look where the scientists get their money from it seems to always be from a left leaning foundation or from teh government. Sure, oil and gas companies have alot of money, but who has limitless funds? :tinfoil hat:
  15. I bought some bibs from the return store in alton this weekend and the other mechanic in the shop needed to test drive a motorcycle. He put on the bibs, my pro qualifier jacket(also from alton), and some ice armor gloves. He got up to 75mph on the motorcycle and said he was very warm and was incredibly impressed. I cant wait until I can use them.
  16. yep. As they say, talk is cheap. I am curious to know what all the climate change people drive? Both of my vehicles are diesels('05 beetle TDI, '96 f-350). Both can and have run renewable fuels and if it was available here I would buy it over diesel any day.
  17. I have never been good at e-arguments because they are as useful as tits on a boar hog. The funny thing is I am more prepared than most here to go back to pre-fossil fuel living. I am not saying we have no effect on the world, but until we can come up with UNBIASED scientific evidence( the term scientific consensus is the biggest farce of all) I refuse to give up my way of life. I hate hearing about global warming "research" stations being setup next to AC units or on blacktop asphalt.
  18. I cannot see how my points are in trouble.
  19. you do not understand what I was talking about apparently. Compare the lifespan of man to the lifespan of the earth. 100 years to the earth is relative to minutes of your or my life.
  20. I love the "scientific" approach used by this person. What a farce.
  21. I love your analogy, however it proves my point. If you drink 4 drinks and stop, or 6 drinks and stop, in 8 hours you will be back to normal, like you havent had a drink.
  22. I agree, however that isnt what this is about.
  23. you have good points, but equally opposed by the fact that if you leave something alone the earth cleanses itself. look at how fast things are overtaken when left alone. If EVERYONE on the planet disappeared the earth would be back to the way it was within a century(which is a tiny blip in the life of the earth).
  24. I personaly feel that to think we can do anything to positively affect the world climate at this time is absurd. IF we could get unbiased testing it would be possible to find out, but that is very likely never going to happen.
  25. I will use nothing else. Look online and you can buy caulk gun tubes of it for ~$10. I have used it for years on 4-wheelers and if you want something sealed up thats what I use. Its extremely durable AND flexible. On the tube the first usage listed is securing decking.
