  1. well for my birthday my wife and I were going to take the riverboat down the buffalo river with a friend in another boat. He has bailed and I am concerned with both of us dragging my boat so we are trying a new river, the eleven point. we are going to go from riverton to myrtle in the hopes of catching some smallmouth.
  2. The ones from wal-mart for $4.16 work good for me.
  3. why not just buy the original wiggle warts?
  4. Thats awesome to hear. NFOW is a very special place.
  5. its the hat.
  6. we got out at shipps ferry. it all depends on generation.
  7. Rush to the white river is 26 miles. I dont know how far it is from buffalo point to Rush so maybe someone else can help out. Rush is the last put in place that is easily accessible. The only places to camp are on sand bars, however the sand bars will keep you high and dry unless something seriously bad happens. Hopefully we will get some rain between now and then or you will be in for ALOT of paddling. As far as shuttling services, there is a canoe rental place across the road from the Rush turnoff and last year I believe they said it was $60 for a shuttle to shipps ferry. If the white is low enough and you paddle hard you can go across to the island at the mouth and then over to Riley's station, they will tow you up river or give you a ride to get your truck for a fee. www.rileysstation.com
  8. nice fish spiderman. How was the water flowing?
  9. Ever since the air temps have gotten hot my ability to catch trout has fallen off the deep end. Where this winter I was catching 20-30 every time I went out I am getting to the point where catching 2-3 is common. What am I doing wrong?
  10. I agree 1 million percent. The norfork is NOT a place to mess around when they are generating. It is incredibly easy to swamp a boat in that river.
  11. after using a kayak this weekend I can see no need for a pontoon.
  12. Once you get the hang of rowing them they are just fine. If you want to borrow ours feel free to.

  14. school starts here on the 19th. I fished cold spring access in January. we caught a few largemouth, a couple spots, and a few trout. It is pretty awesome to be fishing in a river that is 52 degrees when the lake is 39.
  15. I caught a few fish today on a crawfish crankbait.
  16. [Thread hijack]how far downriver do I need to go to get my Riverboat in and go up/down the river?[/thread hijack]
  17. thanks for the info. should be a good time. how is the smallie fishing in the area?
  18. a few of us are floating from hammond to sunburst ranch sunday and I am taking a spinning rod and likely my flyrod. any helpful hints?
  19. there is a free campground at optimus and finding shuttles shouldnt be any trouble.
  20. so far my PB came off a black/silver yo-zuri sinking crystal minnow.
  21. I am going to the river saturday afternoon.
  22. That looks like a nice place but the ad is a little misleading. That property is not "on" the river, it is near the river. There is a HUGE difference when talking about on the river and near the river when your talking about the white river.
  23. yep, you never know what they will have there. They had a yeti cooler brand new for $140 one time.....I almost bought it but I had just lost my job so I didnt. A new one is $280 for that size.
  24. I agree to an extent. I have no idea where BPS hid 3 or 4 of the bearings in the reel but it feels like two are in the handles. They turn incredibly smooth and little things like that really help keep fatigue down on a long day. The smoother the reel the less fatigue on your hands and arms I think.
  25. I figure that if I can get the hp output to around what it is now I should plane out fine. I cannot wait to get started but I have too many other projects in front of it.
