I wil be there friday. I dont care to fish with phil or you Hoglaw. We are thinking about staying the night at rileys thursday. Either way my boat will be at Rileys friday if you get there Al and no one is around.
BTW my phone number is (870)71o-18o6 if anyone needs to get ahold of me
Dont worry about leaving your boat, we can leave any unused boats at rileys. Buffalo shoals is tricky with low water. with a jet and keeping a cool head you wont have any trouble. I got a motor for my boat, now I just need to get all the dang snow out of it!
The parts of the South Fork Spring River I haven't floated.
Myatt Creek.
I am going to make it a point to float or wade myatt this year, and there are two floats left on the southfork I havent floated. from salem down to a friend of mines land and below saddle.
ill call or see michelle today. I need to go to mountain home anyways. I hope yall like brisket, this new cooker I have works awesome.
Also looks like whoever fishes friday needs to bring rain gear. Phil what time are you going to be there friday? We are thinking about staying thursday night as well.
I have done tons of sub freezing launches, the secret is pulling the trailer back out of the water slowly. I used to fish a nuclear power plant cooling lake where water would be in the 60s in the dead of winter.
I will gladly split a dozen tri-olive with you. I am bringing my boat and friday I am cooking a brisket. If someone wants to bring sides that will be great. I am also bringing firewood and maybe a bit of apple pie
I will gladly split an order with someone. Buying them at harps or cranfield is too expensive IMO. They are 5-6 bucks for 3.
**edit**
I looked at the package and a pack of 3 is $6.50.
Bass pro makes it. Gore Tex 100mph suit. Guaranteed to block winds up to 100mph, and they mean it. I wore it test driving a motorcycle last winter and it was good to 85mph. No insulation but blocks any and all win, and water resistant
I always carry a spare set of dry clothes in the winter. Last winter I almost sank my riverboat on the 11pt by myself...it was scary to say the least. When it gets cold I wear thermals, my bibs and my 100mph suit.
Brett, I would be leary of wearing waders while fishing from a boat on the white. If you fell in you would be a big anchor.
Ham, I am down to fish no matter how cold it is. Doubt you will learn anything from me except maybe how to drink cold beer, haha.
the guy that sells them lives somewhere near you I believe. They sell them at Harps in mountain home and at Genes quick stop at the end of cranfield road.
