I thought I'd celebrate opening day at the trout parks by staying as far away from the hordes as possible... so I hitched up the boat and headed to Kdock.

Crossing over the bridge at River Run in Forsyth at about 10, I got the impression that I was not alone... easily 1 dozen rigs were parked at the ramp. As a former member of the local CoC, this gave me a smile!

About a dozen rigs at Kdock as well. I fished about 4 hours from Kdock to Yocum, mostly throwing stick baits on south-facing transition banks. That was my plan going in, and I am stubborn. I caught this little guy at my second stop, which only added to my tunnel vision. Turns out that was my only bite.

Water temp was 45. Some areas were stained, and others more clear. If you go in the next few days, be careful! Water is up, and there are a bunch of floating hazards. I fish lower Taneycomo quite a bit, so I'm used to running through floatsom... but I hate those low-floating timbers!

I feel your pain with the floating debris. Its the main reason I prefer not to troll here on lower taney.
