Crippled Caddis Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I really like the new look, but the cotton-picking 'Reply Notification' feature still doesn't work. WebFreeman Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 CC, we're working on it. Most likely a spam filter along the way has blocked it. I went through and manually enabled any accounts who weren't confirmed. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
soggyfeet Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Hey CC are you talking about the email thing? Im still waiting so I can log in. How long has it been talking to get the email? Brian
WebFreeman Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 soggy, I confirmed you manually, so you should be good to go. It should happen fairly quickly, but we're having some issues with it being marked as spam either by email servers before it gets to you or sometimes by your email client. We're working w/ the host to get it solved. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 7, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted March 7, 2008 I don't know why email works for some and not for others... heck I'm having trouble with firefox not opening things I know should work- try it in IE and it opens fine. Close firefox and reopen it and it works fine... for awhile. There are going to be glitches in the system... either here or on your end. I just wish I was smart enough to know how to fix them all- but I'm not. I have to rely on invision to fix it and it seems they can't 100%. So I'm sorry... we're doing the best we know how to.
Members petpipuppy Posted March 7, 2008 Members Posted March 7, 2008 You guys are amazing! This looks Great! ....and also looks like it took a lot of work... Thanks for that. If they bit all the time they'd call it catching....instead of fishing...
Trav Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I guess I dont understand the two seperate logins. Are we planning on merging the forum and the site in that perspective? I cant fathom why the site needs a seperate log-in seperate from the forum. Either your a registered member or you are not. Right? "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
WebFreeman Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Phil could probably answer this better, but they're two different systems and really two different audiences. I think only about 20% of the forum readers are registered and a much smaller percentage of those post. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 7, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted March 7, 2008 I've explained it well enough, or should I say as far as I know at present. To be honest, I don't know what I'm going to do with the site membership. But I'll think of something.
