Well I was gonna go tomorrow night too just debating between swan and beaver. Swan is closer to me so was hoping they were biting there too.

The fellow (name escapes me right now) from Backcountry Outfitters said that MDC was going to be in Beaver shocking Fri and Sat night. If you see us come on over we'll be in a white Ford Explorer.

Swan is usually behind Beaver... but you never know. You might try to by the dam from the bank- if they're not in Swan they may be up there.

I'm noticing that most of you guys are apparently fly fishing for white bass, I havent fly fished in a few years, used to do it all the time tho. Do grubs and jigs on a spinning combo work well too or is fly fishing just the way to go here?

The MDC was up at the Pothole last night shocking fish. I sat there for a couple minutes watching( was hoping to fish) and they shocked what looked like a quite a few in a short time. There were 2 boats, both looked to be shocking fish. So I went down to Swan and fished for about an hour and never had a bite. I'd try Beaver Creek if I was you guys.

They don't shock up in Swan. They shock the main lake from the dam to Barker but if they're getting their allotment early, they may not be cover that big of area.

Grubs and swimming minnows and jigs work great too. Don't let the fly boys intimidate you.
