Members Mottled Sculpin Posted March 15, 2008 Members Posted March 15, 2008 My cousin and I are wanting to float from centerville access to hwy K brindge next week thurs through sat. march 20 - 22. We will need my truck to be shuttled. Does anyone have any suggestions for an outfitter who would shuttle this time of year? Also, is the river accessable at hwy k this time of year? Thanks barry
jdmidwest Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 You should be able to scare up someone around the accesses at Centerville, Lesterville, or K Bridge. Each has float outfitters, I think someone should be at the ones in Lesterville or Centerville. Floating should be good this time of year, water is flowing good. I am heading out in the morning to float the upper Whitewater River in the yaks. Check the river gauges at USGS website for river stage. Members Mottled Sculpin Posted March 16, 2008 Author Members Posted March 16, 2008 Lucky you! The upper Whitewater river is beautiful! I used to fish the river near Sedgewickville on a regular basis. Whenever I would have a bad fishing outing on another river or get into a fishing slump I'd head to the upper Whitewater River and almost always break out of my slump. Upper Crooked Creek in Bollinger County is another great stream in that area I used to fish quite a bit.
MOFishwater Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 THese folks may be willing to help out with the shuttling, although it is a bit "early" for the floating season. Good folks regardless, give em a holler! Luke www.bearcatgetaway.com/
