Members That_Guy Posted March 17, 2008 Members Posted March 17, 2008 We launched about 10 am saturday at the EE Bridge and went upstream to where the river seems to split. We then worked our way back down 1/2 mile or so, just mainly working on that stretch. We ended up with 12 whites, half of them being females. Meat Without Feet

I'm headed down there this weekend, depending on how the water looks after this crazy rain, and try some bank fishing. TRY being the key word. I'm in Springfield and some buddies want to give it a whirl but I've only trolled in Truman for whites and hybirds and never caught any from the rivers so I'm gonna see what gives. Should hurt the population too much, have any advice on here we might be able to wade for a little stretch near the bridge? Never been there. Thanks for the report. Wish me luck (I'm gonna need it) "Your chances of ever catching a record fish increase in direct proportion to your distance from a reliable scale"
Members That_Guy Posted March 20, 2008 Author Members Posted March 20, 2008 Looking at the water level now it looks like the river is still up 8 foot or so.... I think your going to have a hard time finding the bank to fish from. White was the dominate color for us that day, but with the flood it will take some experimenting. If I was going to fish from the bank, I would go to taylor bridge on the Little Sac. Meat Without Feet
