Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 18, 2008 Root Admin Posted March 18, 2008 Bill and I were talking... James River is out of it's banks and people are being evacuated. Galena is not much better. Roaring River is flooding. NW Arkansas is getting it too. Table Rock is shooting up and we think it'll pass 920 tonight. If it gets too much past 924-925, they'll open the flood gates. Also depends on what Beaver Lake does. Everytime they open flood gates fishing below the dam get really, really hot. We see white bass and crappie head up too. Big browns.... chances are we'll see some shad.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 18, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted March 18, 2008 Gonna look back at this remember the flood of 2008... may be.
Micheal Kyle Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Oh boy I cant wait bring it on, All I have to say is bring on the chuck and duck. To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
DOITLOOKIT Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Have lived here in Springfield since 1974 and I can't recall seeing James and Finley rivers this high. It is still coming down hard here and the radar shows alot more to come. On the James on highway 160 toward Nixa, Carson Nursery is completely underwater. The water is all the way up to Stienerts Nursery. The Finley is out in the Park at Ozark and impassable to Riverside Inn. I'm sure the Inn is underwater badly.
taxidermist Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Not the ROck but Buffalo is wild!!!! within five feet of the road the road on the south side at Carver. The flood stage sign is about 1/2 way covered by water. Water was to the out house parking lot ay midnite. When I stopped on the bridge at carver it was about 5 feet under the road bed. We finally got out and drove to the HWWWWY 65 bridge and its full bank to bank, you can drive about 100 yards off 65 at the access and water is about 15 ft under the 65 bridge girders Heres Bull Shoals for thoday the 19th. http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Repo...ata/Bulsdam.htm Flood stage is 695 Down close to Sylamore/White River its within 12 inches of some hoems with garages. reaching levels of and over the 1982 flood. Who allowed these people to build that close to the river? How do they get flood insurance? If fishing is going to get good on Taney I sounds like I need the bass boat for the water with the gates open, darn its in the shop with prop shaft and water pump being replaced.
Danoinark Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I remember in 82, when the Buffalo ran about 10 feet over the 65 bridge. Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
