Is anyone fishing this weekend? I guess I feel the need to punish myself, but I was thinking of putting in at Kimberling City- either at Ahoy's or the steep ramp at 13-Schooner Creek. I'm thinking steep ramps and clearest water. Has anyone been down there with the high water? The thought of catching shallow fish in that part of the lake (before April) is getting me excited.

Good luck at finding a useable ramp. Everything at Baxter is under many feet of water and the Corps has orange sawhorses at all the roads leading to the water with signs on them saying to keep out. Saw some guys launch an aluminum john boat with fishing seats in it at the end of Hwy. "H" and about three hours later the Corps had a citation stuck under their windshield wipers. Don't make the mistake of submerging your rear axle under the water trying to launch as most have breathers on them and will suck in cold water.

Just saw two boats go past the house wide open ( must be a small tournament) despite all the debris floating in and on the water.

I am probably going to Taney tomorrow. I was looking long and hard at trying Table Rock but can't get any good info on a ramp that is useable. I have seen plenty of info on ramps that are not uesable. If I come across any solid info on a open ramp at Table Rock I'll pass it along.

There is a good ramp at Holiday Island. Drive past the normal marina/ramp turn in, cross Leatherwood creek, immediately turn right. The paved and sloped road normally used to drive down to the beach serves as an excellent ramp. There is even parking. Good Luck.

Had a trip out this morning, At the Dam end of the lake the ONLY ramp open is at State Park.. Everything else from Long Creek to Kimberling City is closed.. Alot of junk floating everywhere... Dam area is the only clean water I could find, best bet would be to throw spinner baits in the back of the creek arms, everything else gets too hung up in trash!!! Fishing is slow good luck!!! I'm going back to Taney at least we can catch a few fish!!!

Thanks for the info on ramps. That seals the deal for me. I'll be hitting Taney tomorrow afternoon with my dad. I talked to a guy that was on Taney this morning and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to get the boat back on the trailer at Cooper Creek because of the current. He tried to run to the dam but found an armada of drift boats coming down and didn't want to risk rocking them so he was drifting back from Fall Creek. No fish info though.
