creek wader Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Went down below Bagnell Dam today. Beautiful day. Water looked good and wasn't raging like the other dams. However, I didn't get a hit. Seen a lot of people on the bank and in boats. I didn't see anybody catch anything but, heard someone had caught a few crappie and somebody else caught some small cat. A lot of dead and stunned shad coming out. You'd think there would be a feeding frenzy. I did hear from several people that a lot of spoonbill were being snagged down in the legal area. wader
Seth Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 We went up there to snag for spoonbill today and never hit a fish. We seen one guy that had two paddlefish from the bank right below the bridge. This is the first time I have gotten skunked up there ever I think. The past few years we hit a lot of fish in some deep holes, but I guess with the water running the fish weren't holed up like usual. I did graph several fish right below the bridge, but never seen anybody actually hit anything. I guess it was just bad luck for us today. A guy my buddy knows that lives up there went up to the dam and said he saw a guy catch some crappie one after another but we forgot our ultralights.
