Micheal Kyle Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 When I go out of town I will stay in some nice hotels. The Hiltons are where we stay most of the time. We are mostly fishing or hunting when we go out of town. You should see the look that you get from the valet when you start unloading your truck. Then the look that you get from the people that are working inside it's priceless. I just look back like I never seen anyone in suit befor. Have fun and good luck To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!

It's funny how the cold doesn't seem so cold when your duck hunting. Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM

Greg Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I went out this afternoon (Sun) for a bit. I only fished for 20 min or so. Just too cold for me. I've fished at least one day a week all winter the last 2 winters and this is the first day that I went out and just couldn't take it. Even wearing gloves I couldn't keep my hands from going numb. I guess everyone has their limits. There were 2 or 3 hardier souls than me out there. Couldn't tell how they were doing. I caught one and missed 4 or 5 strikes in my brief time there. CaptainT16 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 amen duck hunting is the best Yes it is, being this past year was my second year.......I can say I am hooked. Same thing happened to me when I took up Fly-Fishing. Wife keeps asking what else can I take up? I say....."many more things Honey, many more things'! jdavis Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I fished for about four hours sunday afternoon. Sleet and snow all day long. Started at the rebar caught about ten. Eventually got cold, so I went to the car to warm up and drive down stream. Caught another ten or so below the boat ramp. Used a scud all day. It was just to cold to try and tie on a new fly voluntarily. Several of the nicer sized rainbows had the most brilliant electric pink stripe on them I have ever seen. A memorable day on Taney! P.S. If anyone finds a camo gravel gaurd at the parking lot down stream of the boat ramp, please let me know.
