conman Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Guys, I will be down in the Oakland area of the lake next weekend. I have never been on this lake. Is it even fishable with the high water? Ideally we will be fishing for balack bass, what should I expect. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Chris
Larry Richards Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Any report? Is there any one getting out? This was posted on 7/24..it don't look good.you might want to reconsider and find another lake. Its a mess down here on BS and Norfork and it just keeps on raining. Heartland Team Series and Pro-Am events on April 12 and 13 have been moved to Table Rock Lake out of Kimberling City. Launch times will remain the same. The Corps of Engineers was contacted and Bull Shoals is expected to crest on April 11th at about 30 feet over power pool. The plan is to dump Beaver and Table Rock into Bull Shoals. Water that high will cover virtually all of theweigh-in siteplanned to be used by Heartland. With the safety of the anglers in mind, moving to a new lake was neccessary.

Unfortunately, I've got to agree with Larry Richards... it is amazing how far and fast the water has come up on Bull Shoals the last week or three. It is a complete mess. Im guessing we got another 2 inches of rain today, which will only accelerate things. Even if you could find a flooded road with the right pitch to launch your boat, you're liable to inadvertantly beach your boat on a picnic table or something. Sorry for being so bleak, but all winter I've been looking forward to this year's boating season out of Kdock, Elbow & Buck Creek Cenosillicaphobiac
