Question About Bass Pro

I have a friend who has had to relocate to Pearland Texas to be near the MDAnderson clinic as he has a stage 4 angio sarcoma (cancer around the heart and he is 32 years old).

He is a big time "big cat" fisherman up here in Kansas (Kaw, Delaware, Strangercreek, Marais Des Cygne, lakes etc). They are able to get him out of the apartment on his good days and he has been able to fish at the pier in Galveston (I think that is the right city).

I am trying to see if I can get Bass Pro to help him out with a rig that will work for salt water. Some money has been raised for him but it is needed for living expenses and of course the costs that occur regardless of health insurance.

I sent an email to the store manager and I plan on calling them as well. They have a store in Pearland.

If anyone knows of another contact or string I might pull I would appreciate the info.

I used to guide for salt water cats in the Panama Canal. The rigs are simple. Pretty much the same as in the Sippi. Wont take much to adapt for your friend.

Ya, you need to get ahold of JIM, who is the store manager or jerry haggel<--- ( i think that is how u spell it) hes the district manager, you could maybe get a employee discount which is a couple grand off depending on the boat.

Bass pro is pretty tough to get anything from cuz everybody is always asking for something but itz worth a shot

Billy I hate to burst your bubble, but there is no couple grand ,depending on boat discount to bass pro employees.Im sure conciderations are given, but lets not go overboard.And Trav , why be that way?IM going to fish taney a lot this year. I can tell.Especially with the other lakes going to be such a mess for a while.I want to keep informed on the fishing secrets, so I wont be condecending about your comment, as I work at BP also,but I used to be a secret agent man and a double knot spy.
