vonreed Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 After a rough night fishing last night somewhere else I decided to try the lower James since I hadn't heard any reports. I fished for about 5 minutes in one spot and tried the last cast before I move routine. On that cast I caught a nice 22inch walleye. So I had to stay after that of course. Within the hour I had caught 4 more white bass and lost another walleye and a white. So all in all it was a nice surprise. The water was still a little stained, but fishable for sure.
Seth Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 What was the water temp like? I was down there last Saturday and it was up to 58.5. Spoonbilling usually picks up when it hit's 60 from what I have seen in the past. With all of this high water though, I don't know if they have already started running or what.
Sam Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Where did you put in? I imagine Bridgeport is under water.
