motoman Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Just curious if anyone has tried the Mister Twister G-Grubs yet? - I'm intrigued b y the clamshell design of the back that opens, and that ball thing on the tail. - I'm gonna buy some, just curious what others have to say? - - http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...b&noImage=0
motoman Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 not sure if this is the right forum for this topic, so the mods can certainly move it if need be. - Anywho, I picked up a pack of these last night in Pumpkin Pepper. The pumpkin color is very light when held up to the light, almost verging on a green pumpkin smoke with flecks. - I grabbed the 4" and am eager to give them a try. The pictures don't do them any justice. That fin like thing on the back is a clamshell design, which is very soft and appears that it will flare out when in the water. But that's yet to be seen. - The tails rattle chamber is a good size, so you could fit even those large tube rattles in them if needed. - But, I guess the real proof will be if they catch fish..............we'll see?
motoman Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Got to try these grubs on The Rock this week. They do have some intersting action. But nothing spectacular. The plastic didn't seem as tough or soft as others, it seemed to tear a bit easy. - The fishing was tough this weekend, so no fish on it, but I'm not sure if this week was the best test? - Anyway, I don't fish grubs very often, so others may have a better opinion of them. But I would say they are worth a shot, and I will certainly try them again when I'm back down next month.
